TWO: Expose

8:13 am.

The digital clock on my bedside table reads. The rays of the sun were visible from my window, and the atmosphere of a warm morning began, with the chipping and singing of the birds. And even then, this wasn't enough to cure the aching void of the pain that lurked in my heart.

TCO’s head peered across my open door “Y/n.” he called, my eyes open slightly “mhmm yeah..?” I mumble not sure if he’d heard me or not. “Breakfast.” he announced before I opened my eyes fully. “Right, sorry”
“It’s alright, I need you to get some groceries and a few items later” he walked away.

I slid my legs out of bed and to the ground where I could feel the cold morning floor. I went to the bathroom getting ready before fixing my bed. I went out of my room and made my way to the kitchen where TSC and TCO were already eating.
“Oh, morning Y/n” TSC waved at me after he noticed my presence. “Hey TSC” I respond. TCO didn’t mind us and kept eating at the table with four chairs.

I sat next to TSC while TCO sat alone on the other side, there was a plate of pancakes in front of me. It had butter and blueberry on top of it along with a few berries surrounding the bottom, it smelled as good as it looked.
I took the fork and stabbed the stack of pancakes, separating the part and biting into it, chomping on the buttery texture and simply just enjoyed it. The dining table was silent, like it always was when TDL left.

Breakfast ended and TCO handed me a paper with a total of 11 items in them. “Don’t take too long" he adds. I take the list and nod at him.

[LOCATION: OUTERNET, STICKCITY]

I walk through the crowd and navigate myself towards the grocery where most of the items needed were located. I push open the door as the bell rings, I look over the aisles and start to walk towards them looking for the things I need.
After a while I finally got the foods TCO requested and got some of mine as well. I folded the paper and threw it away into the trash bin of course before walking to the cashier and getting my items scanned. I slid over the money and quickly snatched the groceries before turning around to walk away.

Exiting the store, I could hear the distant screams of civillians. This startled me as I turned around to see something familiar.

A Red Spider. 

I ran to the scene and saw a stickfigure getting deleted by a touch of that spider.

“Shit” I murmured before pushing my grocery bag into a random stickfigure. “Hold this” I command before leaping towards the spider, kicking it to avoid it getting close to the citizens. It quickly gained itself back and lunged towards me, I extended my hand to the side before a bucket of concrete came hurling towards the spider hitting it. The spider slammed into the wall with the bucket following, it blocked it using its blade as the bucket turned into nothing but disappearing red numbers. I launched more objects towards it and used telekinesis to slam it towards the ground before launching to the sky with all the strength I have.

The spider was gone and I could hear the short murmurs of the citizens behind me. I turned around to the crowd and looked for the guy I gave my grocery bags to. I found him and quickly snatched back my bag before giving him a quick “thanks” and taking off.
How the absolute hell was there a red spider?!

This can’t be true..

“YOU WHAT?!” TCO was surprised. “Y/n you know you can’t just reveal your powers like that in the Outernet!” he scolds.
“I know, I know! But what other choice did I have?! That spider could kill everyone in a single strike if I didn’t interfere!” I barked back.
TCO just sighed, I did have a point. “You could have just led it away from the crowd before attacking it, you could’ve gotten caught especially with crowds that big” he pointed out.

“Right..” I said putting over the basket at the table. He doesn’t seem to notice the detail of the red spider-
“Wait,” he interrupted the silence. “TDL should be dead, why is his spider around?” I paused at his words, not knowing how to answer that question too.

“Coincidence?” I say, but he doesn’t seem convinced, neither do I. He shook his head.
“I’ll be over at my room, call me if you need me” I murmured just enough for him to hear. I then began to walk towards the direction of my room and closed the door.

It was boring here, I had nothing to do except be on my phone and be on my bed. But what else can I do except for this? TCO doesn’t want to be bothered and TSC is probably with his friends.
I groan as I try to think about anything, anything that I could put my mind into.

TDL.

But before I had any time to think, the door of my room opened startling me a bit, and there revealed TCO.

“I have some things to take care of, I might be back at midnight so don’t wait, TSC is with his friends and I want you to take responsibility for this house. Eat and sleep properly while I’m gone,
got it?” He announced and waited for my answer.

Well, TSC is probably with his friends, meaning i could have this house for myself just for a whilr. Nothing could go wrong with that, right?
