Waking up in this hellhole is just as dreadful as the past 2 days I've been here, there wasn't any news about TDL—not that I've heard about.

It was lunch time, and i have been sitting at a far more isolated table than the rest, the other stickfigures here are mostly loud. The tray sat before me, waiting for me to grab the food it held and chomp it while in my thoughts.

"Hey Y/n!" A loud and familiar voice echoed calling out for me, i looked up to see Lady Star and Void walking towards my table.

Great..

"You don't mind if we sit here, right?" She asked politely, holding a tray of the foods she chose. I nodded as a sign of yes as they both sat on the table across from me.

Me and Lady Star chatted for quite a bit.

"Since both of you work for TDL, may i ask what he does for his 'work'?" I asked, just after finishing my tray.

"For the most part, he creates and designs his Vira-bots." Lady Star spoke "He destroys the small websites and games, and pretty much runs this whole building."

"... Why are you working for him?"

"Well.. He provided our basic needs, without him we'd practically be dead now" she answered.

"Oh.." I murmured.

She noticed my facial expression suddenly fading before speaking up.

"Why are you asking? Not to be mean or anything but usually the stickfigures here don't ask that much about TDL, most—if not all fear him"

I sighed, not knowing if i should tell her or not. I mean, they both work for TDL. But i think I'd rather let TDL know than to keep quiet and just live like this forever.

"TDL... Was my best friend-"

"What." Void suddenly spoke, his voice had a hint of surprise.

"Yes, he was my best friend. We lived in a house with 2 of our other best friends. Everything was fine, we had fun and just bonded." I paused "...until he grew a desire for power, eventually he started to commit and delete using his blade he secretly made. We were all worried about him of course, but, time passed by and TCO had enough. TCO and TDL argued every time he deleted, resorting to it getting physical. TDL left, and that created a huge rift in our friendship." I fell silent, recalling those memories again, and i was saddened by the fact none of them could be taken back.

"It's alright, Y/n, we'll try to get TDL to talk to you" Lady Star smiled, attempting to cheer me up.

"Wait wha—" Void looked at her like she said something impossible. "Lady Star what are you saying? You know how hard it is to at least get him to talk to us"

"I-its fine, you don't have to." I said

"Nonsense Y/n, me and Void will try to get him to talk to you!" Lady Star said cheerfully.

"But we aren't going to do that for a person we just met yesterday—" Void tried to interject.

"Friends have their backs no matter what, right Void." Star looked at him playfully annoyed while Void just rolled his eyes and went quiet once again.

"Thank you, Lady Star" I smiled.

"You can call me LD, it's kinda too formal for you to call me by that" she chuckled "you should get back to your cell, Lunch time's almost over" she reminded.

"Ah, right" i stood up and picked up my tray, and put it on top of the trash bin before waving goodbye to the two. Lady Star waved back while Void didn't even spare a glance at me.

[Void's pov]

It had been 5 hours since our last encounter with that Y/n girl, Lady Star has been more persistent to Talk with TDL, but that bastard's just locked himself in his workshop again. He doesn't leave that damn place and it's clearly rare to see him come out in the day time.

But i don't care about him, i hate him with a burning passion.

Lady Star has been knocking and talking to him through the shut door, yet receiving no answer. I leaned against the wall and watched her try and try.

"Stop bothering me." TDL finally spoke, his voice muflled yet remained clear on the other side.

"But someone here wants to talk with you" Lady Star said.

"I don't care. Go away"  TDL responded.

Asshole.

I frowned, having enough of his dry response when Star was clearly trying to get him out and talk to that girl. I stood up and walked in front of the door and next to Lady Star.

"Hey asshole, Y/n wants to talk to you personally, and if you treat your workers this way then at least change it for your ex best friend!" I raised my voice a bit, just enough not to anger him.

He was silent for a while. The sounds of the chair being moved as he stood up, followed by his footsteps were heard walking closer to the door before opening it. And there he was, his eyes was glaring at me and he looked genuinely annoyed at the disturbance.

"Who told you she was my ex best friend?." He spoke.

"Y/n herself, sir" Star answered, looking a bit scared.

He looked at her before closing his eyes and letting out an angered sigh before walking past us, not saying a word. The door of his workshop immediately closed as he left, ensuring no one can wander inside of his workplace when he leaves.

"I think he's mad" Lady Star said concerningly.

"At least he's going to talk to her." I answered back, watching him walking off to the floor Y/n's cell was.
