When I look at you, I feel as though I could burst into flames, and my voice gets lost somewhere between my heart and my mouth. I can only breathe in your presence, and in your absence, it feels like I'm suffocating. With you near, all my worries and fears subside, and my eyes are opened to the good that previously went undetected. You bring the best out of me, and you dispel my worst. You are divine. The only woman capable of thawing my frozen heart, of quelling my insatiable desire. You are the author of my book, but in our spiritual exchange, you relieve me of my own fictional bounds. I burn for you, near and far. You champion me from the bad that I had befriended. You carve the paths I am yet to pave, equip me for the darkest of turns, and prepare me for a modicum of great change. And while you are subtle, your influence is loud—your words are impalpable and yet they move mountains. They keep the world turning, and like a clock with the passing second, my heart ticks to their every syllable. Why is it that your wave broke upon my shore, I never shall know? But to complain would most certainly be rude, if not farcical. Would it not?
