Ruhi🐚🦋🦢
I made my way downstairs, my eyes still half-closed with sleep. "Morning, Dad," I yawned. He looked at me, his expression a mix of surprise and amusement."You're actually on time? That's something new," he said, a hint of sarcasm in his voice.
I rolled my eyes at his remark, he enjoyed taunting me about my sleeping habits "Always"
"Haha, very funny," I replied, trying to sound annoyed but failing to hide the slight smile on my face. I took a seat at the breakfast table, preparing myself for yet another day.
We quickly finished our breakfast, and soon it was time to head off to college.
As we got into our car, I looked out the window, my thoughts already beginning to drift towards Ishaan.
We arrived at college, and I grabbed my bag.
As I walked through the gates, I spotted Ishaan standing with usual group of friends.
He looked up as he saw me, and his eyes locked onto mine. I plastering a neutral expression on my face.As I approached his group, he greeted me with a smile and a wave.
"Hey," he said, his voice smooth and warm.
I returned his greeting with a smile and a matching energy, trying to act casual. "Hey," I said, my voice steady, as if our interaction wasn't making my heart race.Flashback...
As I made my way to the auditorium, I accidentally bumped into someone. My bag and his book dropped to the ground. "Sorry," he said apologetically, "its alright" I said.
we both bent down to gather our belongings.
As I picked up my bag, I noticed the book he had dropped. And my heart skipped a beat as I saw the title. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I looked up at him, my eyes wide with a mix of surprise and shock.
"Are you okay? You look shocked what happened?" He asked looking at me.
Huh?...yeah...I am fine. I said keeping my face neutral.
He was reading my book? my novel that I had published six months ago.
I stood there, stunned, as I realized he was reading the book I had published without knowing that I was the author.
I hadn't told him or anyone else about my writing, keeping it a secret even from my friends.
We quickly composed ourselves, and he apologized again for bumping into me. we both stood up, still holding the books we had just dropped.
The man has a stunning appearance. His eyes are a jade green, and his jet-black hair is perfectly styled. He stands tall and lean, his muscles defined. A charismatic smile graces his face, a charming dimple in his left cheek.
"Hey, we haven't officially met yet, right...?" He asked, fixing his gaze on me.
"Huh ohh yeah...I have taken admission in second year this year." I said while fixing my hairs.
He smiled, "Well, in that case," he said, his voice smooth and inviting, "I'm Ishaan. It's nice to meet you."
I smiled back at him, "Nice to meet you too, Ishaan," I said, forcing myself to keep my voice cool and casual. "I'm Ruhi."
He repeated my name as if testing it out. "Ruhi," he said, his voice soft and gentle. "Pretty name. It suits pretty lady like you." I laughed.
Ishaan and I started walking towards the auditorium, engaging in light conversation as we went.
