A/N: just fyi even though it's written in English it's Spanish for Mapi and alexia - I'll put it in bold to make it clearer though when someone is speaking Spanish from now on - unless I write it in Spanish

Talia woke to the soft, insistent beeping of her alarm, its sound cutting through the quiet of the early morning. For a moment, she lay still, disoriented, trying to piece together where she was. Then, she felt the warmth of Alexia's body beneath her and the familiar weight of Alexia's arms draped around her waist. Slowly, memories of last night drifted back into her mind, and a smile tugged at the corners of her lips.

She turned her head slightly, careful not to disturb the woman holding her, and gazed down at Alexia. Her features were peaceful, her long lashes casting faint shadows across her cheekbones, lips parted ever so slightly as she slept. For a moment, Talia didn't want to move, wanting to stay in this cocoon of warmth and intimacy for just a little longer. The scent of Alexia, a mix of fresh linen and something uniquely her, lingered in the air, comforting and familiar.

But the persistent beeping of her phone reminded her of the reality she couldn't ignore. She had a flight to catch, her belongings still waiting for her at the hotel. Talia sighed softly, reaching her arm across the bed to grab her phone and silence the alarm. As much as she wanted to ignore it, time wasn't on her side.

She bit her lip, glancing back down at Alexia, unwilling to wake her. The thought of leaving made her heart ache just a little, but she knew she couldn't linger. With slow, deliberate movements, Talia began to untangle herself from Alexia's embrace. She carefully lifted one of Alexia's arms, placing it gently on the bed, then shifted to slide out from the covers.

Alexia stirred, her brow furrowing slightly as if sensing the loss of warmth, her hand reaching out in her sleep. Talia froze for a moment, watching Alexia's features relax again, before slipping off the bed entirely. The cool air hit her skin, a stark contrast to the warmth she'd been nestled in, but she didn't mind. She stood at the edge of the bed, stretching slightly and gazing down at the sleeping woman. There was a bittersweet pang in her chest, knowing she had to leave this behind for now.

Talia slipped on the skirt she had worn the day before, the fabric soft against her skin. She hesitated for a moment, glancing down at the oversized jersey that hung loosely on her frame, a comforting reminder of Alexia. The urge to take it off battled with her desire to cling to the fleeting moments they had shared. Ultimately, she decided against changing, the jersey feeling too much like a part of the night that had wrapped around her like a warm hug.

With a sigh, she wandered through Alexia's apartment, taking in the cozy space. The early morning light filtered through the curtains, casting soft shadows on the walls. She felt a wave of nostalgia wash over her, knowing she might not get to experience this again for a while. As she moved, she searched for something to write with—a note seemed necessary; she couldn't just slip away without a word.

After a brief search, she found a notepad and pen on the kitchen counter. Talia settled at the small dining table, biting her lip as she composed her thoughts.

I had to leave for my flight, and I didn't want to wake you.

I really enjoyed last night
hopefully, we can do it again soon.

Text me.

Talia xx

She folded the note neatly and placed it on Alexia's bedside table, right next to the older woman's phone, a small token of her affection and the bond they had begun to build. Talia lingered for a moment, her heart aching at the thought of leaving, but she knew she had to go.
