They walked downstairs together, Talia bouncing ahead with a brightness in her step. But as soon as she spotted her drink on the counter, now melted and sweating in its cup, her face dropped into a disappointed pout.

Alexia chuckled softly, her laugh rich with warmth. "I'll get you another one," she promised, watching the way Talia's expression softened, that little hint of mischief in her eyes.

Talia crossed her arms, pretending to be unimpressed. "I know you didn't get me this one," she teased, raising an eyebrow at Alexia. "We don't pay at our places."

Alexia felt her heart flutter at those words—we and our, as if she were already a part of Talia's world, as though she belonged there in every way that mattered. Her lips curved into a soft smile, feeling the quiet pride and love settle deep in her chest.

Talia, catching the change in Alexia's expression, grinned and leaned in, her voice a playful whisper. "But you can definitely buy me a new one," she added, a teasing lilt in her tone.

Alexia shook her head with a laugh, unable to resist reaching up and tucking a loose strand of hair behind Talia's ear. "Consider it done, princesa," she murmured, her voice soft with affection.

Talia's eyes sparkled with satisfaction as she looped her arm through Alexia's, pulling her closer as they moved toward the door. Alexia's hand found its way to the small of Talia's back, guiding her gently, as if they'd been together for years. In that moment, every step felt natural, every smile easy, and every glance full of warmth.

As they stepped outside, Alexia leaned in to press a kiss to Talia's temple, whispering, "I'd get you a thousand more if it meant seeing that smile." Talia laughed, her cheeks flushing slightly, her fingers tangling with Alexia's.

Talia led Alexia over to her car, a subtle smile crossing her lips as she held open the passenger door. Alexia gave her a playful look before settling into the seat, unable to resist the small thrill of being fussed over by her girlfriend. Talia circled around and slipped behind the wheel, buckling in and glancing over to find Alexia watching her intently.

Alexia smirked, leaning a little closer. "You know," she teased, "I almost forgot you could actually drive, considering you keep getting drivers everywhere."

Talia rolled her eyes with a mock laugh. "You think you're funny, don't you?"

Alexia's smirk turned into a grin. "You think I am," she countered confidently, catching the gleam in Talia's eyes.

Talia muttered, "Shut up," but the grin tugging at her lips betrayed her.

Before she could turn away, Alexia leaned over and pressed a quick kiss to her lips, a gentle yet unmistakable spark passing between them. Talia smiled into the kiss, then pulled back, her voice laced with humor. "If you keep kissing me like that, we're not going to get anywhere."

Alexia's eyes shone with mischief. "Maybe that's the plan," she murmured, and leaned in for another lingering kiss, her fingers brushing Talia's cheek.

This time, Talia chuckled and gently nudged her back into her seat. "Behave," she said softly, though her voice held no real reproach, only warmth.

She reached over to hand Alexia a pair of sunglasses, slipping on her own in a quick, smooth motion. As she started the engine and guided them onto the road, Alexia admired the way Talia's confidence radiated through every movement. Talia's hand rested lightly on the gearshift, her gaze focused, yet a subtle smile remained on her lips, hinting at how much she was enjoying the exchange.
