Chug! Chug! Chug!
The living room was trashed, bottles lying everywhere and lips connecting more often than they should be. The Moon girl hardly knew where to look because she was afraid just her gaze would start something. Her wrist was being held on to by her best friend, Hayoon, as she was guided around the bustling kitchen towards the drinks table.
A carmen punch bowl was placed on the kitchen isle with a big spoon in it and red cups ready to be the muse of intoxication. Sooyun looked at it with distaste; she knew there were definitely other substances flowing around in the drink and as someone who didn't even ingest fizzy drinks she knew she was going to stay away from the suspicious liquid.
"Hayoon!"
The 2 girls turned their heads being met with a visibly drunken girl who was barely keeping her stance. Sooyun had no idea who it was till Hayoon responded, "Miso!" They captured each other in a tight hug giving the Moon girl some extra time to figure out who this unknown was. Finally, they pulled apart, the slight drop of drool that Miso left on Hayoon's shoulder not going unnoticed by Sooyun.
"Sooyun this is Miso, she's in my art class" introduced Hayoon, wrapping her arm around Miso and leaving it draped on her shoulder. Sooyun nodded in realisation, she had dropped art the minute she could due to simply not seeing how people could make a whole subject out of a pretty colours.
"Nice to meet you" she held out her hand waiting for it to be shaken by Miso's, only to be returned a head nod. Awkwardly placing her head back, she watched as Hayoon grabbed the metal spoon and poured herself a drink.
"Want some?"
"No chance" Sooyun replied, earning one nod from Hayoon who was expecting that.
She raised her eyebrows as Hayoon pressed the cup against her mouth and swallowed the drink then looked around. The Moon girl could see some familiar faces on the living room floor where people were dancing, on the couch where boys had girls on their laps, girls who Sooyun knew would never sit that way had they not been intoxicated, around the kitchen and lastly near the beer pong table. And she rolled her eyes once they landed on them- the most annoying group of boys on Earth.
Heeseung- Sunghoon's best friend- a sporty guy, specifically basketball. Friendly (apparently) and extremely popular for his looks. He was at one end of the beer pong table, along with Jake and Jungwon, cheering as Jake threw yet another ball into a cup.
Jake- a football addict. Not a lunchtime went by where he wasn't kicking a ball around. Good at physics and chemistry but terrible at keeping out of trouble. He had 2 arms up, both in the way you would keep them while flexing your muscle and roaring because of his pong success.
Jungwon- he wasn't so bad. The class representative of the year below her who also had brains and was well liked by everyone. Sooyun could never understand why he was so close with those particular boys considering how different he was from them. He was stood behind Heeseung and Jake, laughing at the two hysterically.
Ni-ki- the youngest of the friendship group. He had moved to Korea a year ago and was somehow able to get himself into the popular people's crowd. An upbeat kid with mischief flowing through his veins. On the other side of the table, groaning as he had drink yet another cup of beer.
Sunghoon- well i think we know enough about him. He was currently situated behind Ni-ki, holding the boys shoulder's as he drank.
She looked back to her side, realising her friend getting stringed off to the living room floor by a guy, her smiling ear to ear as it happened, unknowingly deserting her best friend.
Immediately, Sooyun's arms crossed over her torso, feeling insecure about standing alone, afraid that someone might approach her. Suddenly she got pushed forward by two boys, stumbling around to get another cup of punch. Clearly this wasn't the best place to stay.
