"Girlfriend"

Sooyun's jaw dropped and her eyes flickered between Sunghoon's parents and Sunghoon. Did she hear him incorrectly? Because there's no way he actually just said-

"She's my girlfriend" he repeated, a little more sureness in his voice now as he interlocked their hands.

She felt her muscles stiffen as her gaze fell to his hand, holding hers. Her own fingers did not close in, they stuck out like thorns on a rose.

"Girlfriend?" His mother eyed the Moon girl unimpressed. It wasn't surprising considering Sooyun had woken up less than 20 minutes ago and was quite hungover. She looked a total mess.

"Yes" he confirmed "Moon Sooyun."

Silence fell upon the room as tense glances were passed around. She had to be dreaming. No, not dreaming, having a full blown nightmare. In no reality could this possibly be happening.

She wanted to object. Tell them that she wasn't his girlfriend, hell she wasn't even his friend. Honestly, you could say acquaintance was optimistic too. But her spinning head and killing migraine meant that she couldn't get the words out. She couldn't snap her hand away from his no matter how much she detested the feeling of his sweatiness against her.

"A-and about the cars" the boy continued "someone must've pulled a prank or something at night. Sooyun and I have been inside since yesterday evening."

Lies, lies, lies. They bothered her so much.

"A prank?" His father asked suspiciously.

"Yeah..I think there was a party going on down the street so someone must've been drunk and done it."

Sooyun watched him in..could it be..awe? He didn't stutter or stammer, no sweat rolled down his forehead and it all sounded completely convincing. No, was she going crazy? All that alcohol really did get to her. Sunghoon was good at lying because he was a lying scum- she told herself over and over.

Mr. Park's jaw clenched, the man was extremely pissed off and Sooyun was terrified that any moment now, his eyes would wonder to her and glare at her to death.

Sunghoon cleared his throat and locked eyes with her, then nodded his head towards the door, telling her they should go. So, with interlocked hands (that Sooyun could not ignore) the two made their way into the Park's hallway before she immediately wriggled her hand out of his.

"What. Was. That." She gritted out, scowling at him.

"I'm sorry ok I just-" he licked his lips before they found themselves beneath his teeth "...my tongue slipped."

The Moon girl pursed her lips and threw her hands in the air dismissively. She leaned down to grab her shoes and shoved them on. This guy was completely insane.

"Bye-" his farewell was cut off by the slam of the door in front of him. She was gone.

"What!?" Hayoon exclaimed as she made the turn into Sooyun's street.

"Yeah he said I was his girlfriend and then he said his tongue slipped."

"Damn Sooyun, first party and you've already gotten yourself a fling. I'm impressed"

Sooyun scrunched her nose.

"He's not a fling. I'm never talking to him again, fucking bastard."

Hayoon chuckled to herself at her best friend's harsh language.
