"Where are we going..?" Sooyun drunkly slurred out, eyes struggling to stay open.
"My house" answered Sunghoon, clutching onto her wrist the best he could.
The Moon girl remained silent for the rest of the walk, occasionally letting out a small, incomprehensible mutter. She only came back to life once the Park boy stopped walking and stood stationary in front of a fancy house, with 4 luxury cars parked in its porch.
"You live..here?" she asked, mouth parting as she gasped. She always knew Sunghoon lived in a different world to her, his designer clothes and cars never let her forget it, but she never could've imagined this was how rich he was.
He nodded, his eyes weren't nearly as bright as Sooyun's. It wouldn't be crazy to say that he looked almost repulsed by the sight of his house. A place that someone should love and find comfort in.
He broke his intense gaze with the building and looked back at Sooyun. Her body was tilting forward due to him pulling her towards him and her head was drooped down.
"Let's have some water.." he muttered, as if he was speaking to himself, before dragging the girl into his household and lousily closing the door behind them.
The Moon girl stumbled in, blindly taking steps forward till she found herself in the Park's kitchen, leaning against a cupboard. She watched as Sunghoon followed in after her and poured himself water. He rested his body against the counter top and raised his head up, then tilted the glass letting the cold liquid bring him back to life.
"Want som-?" His offer was cut off by a vibration. He furrowed his eyebrows reaching into his pocket and pulling out his phone, attempting to read the text he had been sent.
'Iron my office shirt. I need it for tomorrow.'
The Park boy scoffed checking the message again to see if he had read it correctly. How could his father have the audacity to desert him with no prior warning then order him to do something randomly? Did he really mean that little to him? He clenched his jaw, detesting every atom of stubborn love he had residing in his body for his dad.
His phone beeped again.
'Keep the cars safe.'
He looked up, glancing at the girl on the other side of the kitchen and letting his mind work like clockwork. Smirking to himself, he opened his fridge, pulling out a carton of eggs.
Sooyun observed him, her intoxication not enabling her to see the absurdity in his actions.
"Follow me" the boy's tone was eager, causing her to excitedly totter after him.
He stepped out of the house, holding the door open for her and then coming to stand next to her. He giggled to himself, rosy pink cheeks illuminating their way into Sooyun's orbs. Next thing she knew the boy had thrown an egg at one of the cars parked in the drive way.
He froze, staring at her and begging that she would show some sort of validation or usher him on. By his luck, he was met by a grin, ear-to-ear and delighted claps.
"I wanna try!" She laughed, taking another egg from the carton and throwing it at the front of the car, causing egg yolk to drip down the windscreen. She squealed at the impact, causing Sunghoon's jaw to drop slightly.
"Again! Again!"
Before they knew it the pair had jointly used a total of 11 eggs, which were now smothered around BMWs, Rolls Royces and Teslas.
They were currently situated on 2 couches in the Park's living room, tipsily talking to one another, though the conversation was rather depressing.
"Where are your parents?" asked Sooyun, tracing patterns on one of the pillows.
"Who knows.." he muttered.
She sat up a little straighter.
"They disappeared? Ditched you? .. died?"
Sober Sooyun would know very well how far she was overstepping but drunk Sooyun had a lot more trouble drawing that line.
"Yes, yes and no" he responded, dryly.
"Forever?"
"No"
"Oh"
Silence arose afterwards, causing both of them to forfeit to sleep, letting their minds drift to peace, though it wouldn't stay there for long.
