Abhimanyu POV:

After she shared her past with me, I understood it was nobody's fault, and I could see why she suffered from panic attacks.

I took her to the room, and we lay in each other's arms. She pretended to sleep to keep me from worrying, but I could tell she was struggling every time she tried to close her eyes, only to jerk them open again.

I did my best to distract and comfort her, and finally, she fell asleep in the morning, though with difficulty. Whenever I tried to close my eyes, her tearful face haunted me, and I was terrified. I would sleep only to wake up and check on her comfort.

I don't know when I fell asleep, but I woke up abruptly from a nightmare. My first look was for her, and seeing her sleeping peacefully in my arms, legs entwined, brought a small smile to my lips, and I gently kissed her pouty lips.

I was admiring her when my phone rang. I quickly silenced it, and Ananya stirred in her sleep. I carefully disentangled myself, made sure she was comfortable, and got up.

I went downstairs to avoid disturbing her sleep, stepped into the garden, and answered the call. "Good morning," Varun and Sahil greeted. "Hmm, good morning," I replied, yawning. "Abhimanyu, did you not sleep well?" Varun asked.

"Hmm," was all I could reply. "Is Ananya, okay?" Sahil asked with concern. "She's fine, just pretending to be strong," I answered. "Did you guys find out anything?" I asked, getting straight to the point.

"Yes, Abhimanyu, I asked Sarika about the boutique incident. She said Ananya was engrossed in her work all day, and in the evening, Sarika brought her all the packages and parcels. Ananya said she would check them and ordered a coffee. But when Sarika was bringing her the coffee, Ananya hurriedly left," he explained.

We then questioned Ananya's security guards, who told us she came down and took the car keys...She hurriedly instructed them not to follow her, and by her look, they could tell she was terrified, her hands shaking.

Then we checked the footage, and it clearly showed that Ananya only went out in the evening when she met you. I think she received that package the gangster sends, Shouraya explained.

"Did you check her cabin and all?" Abhimanyu asked. "Abhi, we thought if Ananya finds out we checked her cabin and belongings without her permission..." Varun said. "Hmm, right," Abhimanyu agreed.

"Abhimanyu, if we want to know what actually happened, then only Ananya can tell us. Now we have to inform her and the entire Rajput family since the gangster is out in the open, and we can't protect everyone at the same time," Shouraya said, with Varun and Sahil nodding in agreement.

"Hmm, you're right. We should tell them that the gangster is targeting them now. We've done much to protect them, and we will continue, but at least they should be aware," Abhimanyu was speaking but sensed someone behind him. He turned around and saw Ananya, who was shocked, her breathing uneven. Abhimanyu quickly ended the call and approached her.

But she was stepping back. "Bacha, listen to me," he said, but she was shaking her head, tears streaming down her face. "No, Abhi, he's back, and he will do something. I can't lose anyone, especially you," she said.

"Bacha, nothing will happen," he reassured, trying to embrace her, but she kept moving away from him. He was stressed, as the doctor had advised against giving her any stress, which wasn't good for her, and she continued crying, her breathing uneven.

Abhimanyu's eyes widened as Ananya was about to hit her head against the wall while stepping backward. Just in time, he pulled her by the wrist and embraced her. "Bacha, are you fine?" he asked, checking her over and sighing in relief when he saw she was unharmed.
