Annaya POV:
"I don't want to wait for two months. I just want to die now. It's very difficult and heartbreaking. I'm dying every second, seeing Abhimanyu like this. He used to be smiling, the smile which always used to take my heart. Now, it's difficult to see that smile.
The eyes once always used to show love, care, and affection. Now, they just show hurt. He is so much hurt that I'm breaking to see him like that.
I'm forgetting everything. I want to forget that brain tumor. I want to go and be in his arms, just want to be loved by him."
"Going and meeting him was a bad idea. Seeing him like that, wrapped in bandages, was hurting me to the core. But then, seeing him breaking and leaving his hands, which I didn't want to do, I just wanted to hold his hand for a lifetime and say, 'I will be there. I'm not leaving.'
But no, I have to do it. I was overwhelmed by emotions. I forgot for once that I should be leaving him and making him hate me to the core, so much that if my name even comes up, he hates it."
"As I was leaving the ward, I could hear his shouts. He was crying and shouting my name. For a moment, I thought to go back and just be in his arms, but I have to do it. I have to do it.
I started walking on the road, just wanting to run from all this. I don't know where I'm going; I'm just walking. Tears were also dry. My mind, heart, and soul are just thinking about Abhimanyu.
I don't know if I'm doing good or not. I don't know, but I just want Abhimanyu to be good. I can't see him suffering. No, I can't. I know if he gets to know, he will forget everything I did and will just support me and be with me my whole life.
His love will always be there for me. I know how much he would say he hates, but I know he loves me and will be loving me his whole life."
I'm walking, just walking on a road that is silent, where only the sounds of birds can be heard, with no vehicles or people in sight.
Life can change in an instant; one minute you're happy, the next you're sad. Life is unpredictable, and things often don't happen as you wish. Your life will not always follow your desires.
Everything has changed; love has turned into hate, 'forever' has turned into 'never'. Now, my path and Abhimanyu's will never cross, not in this world.
Author POV:
"Annaya was walking and walking. Just then, a car pulled over in front of her, blocking her path. But she was not in her senses; she went by the side, ignoring the car.
A man came out of the car and went towards Annaya. Before she could walk further, he held her wrist. As she turned around, she saw Yuvraj.
'Annaya, what happened? What are you doing?' he asked. He was confused, seeing her like this, in this state. But Annaya, who was just staring at one spot, ignored his question."
Yuvraj's frown deepened. He called her name again, but she continued to ignore him. He then held her shoulders and shook her gently.
"Annaya! Annaya!" he shouted, jolting her back to reality.
"Huh...ha," she uttered, finally snapping out of her daze.
"You...you're here...why?" she stammered, surprised to see him. "Is everything fine?" she added, her voice still trembling.
"I should be asking you the same. You're in the middle of the road," he pointed out, concern lacing his tone. "What happened to you? Look at yourself. Is everything alright?" he pressed for answers.
"I'm fine, Yuvraj," Annaya said.
"You know, you are a very bad liar," he said. "And thankfully, as Mihir and Kriti told us about Abhimanyu's accident, my mom and dad wanted to meet him. I dropped them off at the hospital and, as I got an important call, I had to leave. Thank God I chose this route," he added.
