"Trust"

( C h a p t e r 1 7 )

The car was on its way to its destination.
while Gul was suffering from the heat, she was melting like a candle in the car.

"It's so hot right!?"
She wiped the sweat and said,
No response was given

"Well, Rehan? How long will we go together?"

"What do you mean!?"
The question was to make him leave his silence.

"We we're fighting over a bathroom, i don't think this marriage will last long."

"I was fighting?!"
He was surprised.

"And was I fighting? I was just talking!"

"Oh, wow! If  that's what you call talking, I wonder what you would do if you were fighting!"

As he quipped,

"I just love."

"And making people crazy!
Breaking it up, he said with a sigh

"Me?!

"Gul, please! Don't say anything now."

He no longer had the courage to fight.

"I also have no interest in talking!"
Muttering in anger, she started looking outside the window.

The wedding hall was full with people. All eyes waiting for them. After few moments,

That bright lights went off, dimmed by candles,

They were entering through the door, and there was applause and shouts of joy.

He was looking ahead at the stage, and she at his footsteps on the ground below.
Her mind was racing through different thoughts.

"This boy who pity himself, is it right ?"

"Is this girl who pretends to be strong really strong?!"

They were addressing each other with every moving step

"No! I don't think so.......!"
Both looked at each other. They barely smiled

Looking for each other, once again stuck in place.

They stopped at the stairs that leads towards the stage.
Rehan turned to her, stretched his hands in front of Gul.
Lips sealed, but the eyes were talking,
The heart was pounding, throbbing, gul placed his hand on Rehan's palm, she felt a sharp feeling in her chest.

The clapping sound of the people distracted her thoughts.

Hisham was by his side, on the edge of the sofa.

"And?!"
Tapping on his shoulder, Hisham said,

"What?!"
said with a glance,

"How was your beautiful evening yesterday!"
asked in a mischievous tone,

Gul sitting beside him was busy talking with rania without realising that she could heard their voices.

"To inform you we were home at half past two yesterday."

"Okay! How was the night?!"
Cut through the chase, he asked

"Horrible...!"
He said disgustedly,

"Oh! Really? Is it?"
She said while glancing at him.

They both got startled.

"Ah.... Hisham, you remember that movie, it was horrible !"
He tried to cover up the mess.

"Ah....there......!
RANIA Come with me, I have something to tell"
He sprinted from there.

Rania followed him while not trying to laugh,

Gul tried to look pissed, while rehan truned his head the other way, not trying to look at her.

Gul bit his lower lip, trying to hide her laugh, she finds "Embarrassed rehan" cute.

He was leaning against the bed, holding the phone in his hand, eagerly waiting for someone's message.
until the phone screen lit up,

Uzair looked at the phone screen, the WhatsApp photo message was flashing.
He opened the message and,

"Ha.... You have not changed completely! You're still trash!"
Touching her picture with his fingertips he said,

"Well, we shouldn't have done that, yes! Agreed that I'm not good either, I left on the wedding day, while you were waiting for me!"

There was venom in the words he was spewing.

"We'll meet soon!"
A smirk appeared on his face.

Both of them were ready to fight again, when Omar came. They both shut their mouths and looked at him.

"Are you both happy?!"

Omar's question surprised them both a bit
they both agreed to nodding their heads.

"Rehan? Can i ask you something, but you have to be honest."

Omar's question made Rehan's heart pound a bit.

"Sure! Is everything alright?"
he stood up

"Gul isn't bothering you right?"
He looked at Gul,

Gul's heart sank as if something had happened.

"That diary, Did he read that."
A thought crossed her mind.

"Not at all! Why'd you think that?"
He paused for a few seconds then looked at gul,
Probably thinking if he should tell the truth.

With a sigh and a smile he patted Omar's back to assure him that, that's not the case.

Gul Simply sat their with fear lingering inside her.
