Memories We Hold Together

"Unwanted encounter?"

Descending from the stairs in a hurry, she ran towards the room in front of the kitchen, where Rehan was screaming.

"Rehan? Rehan?"
Knocking on the door, she was calling him in distress,

"What happened? Why were you screaming?
Suddenly the door opened,

The hand that was knocking the door, remained in the air
Rehan was standing there looking at her with heavy and tired eyes.

And was ready to fall on her, holding him by the shoulders, she tried to make him stand up straight.

"What's wrong with you.....?"
And the words remained in her mouth,

Gul's eyes fell on the vail held in Rehan's hand.
The bottle was freed from Rehan's grip,

"Drugs...?!"
She murmured,

Instead of anxiety and worry, anger was now prominent.
Holding the vial, she was staring at Rehan with hurtful eyes.
For a few moments, her heart wanted to leave him like this, in this state.
But it was becoming impossible for her to do so.

Forcefully shouldering him, taking small steps, she began to take him upstairs to the room!

Falling/unbalanced, she somehow brought him to the room while he was lost in the valleys of sleep.

Containing his anger, she barely covered Rehan with a blanket.

"How did I forget... How did I forget that this person is a drug addict.
And drug addicts can die, but they can't leave this hideous addiction of theirs."
There was anger in the eyes.

Tired of the alarm noise ringing in his ears, he forced his eyes open, gripping his heavy head in his hands, he sat up,
He turned off the alarm clock on the side table, his heavy eyes landed on Gul, dressed up in a nurse uniform, standing in front of the dressing table.

"Gul? Why are you in a nurse's uniform."
Looking at her confused, he said,

And she who was setting her hair bun, turned startled at his voice,

"If you remember, I work and since my leaves are over, I am going to the hospital to do my duty."

She didn't forget about the last night.

"Why didn't you tell me?!"
The head still felt heavy.

"I would've if you were in a state of listening."
The tone was ice cold.

"Anyways, I'm getting late."

"Wait! I'm coming, I'll drop you."
And she who was going out carrying the bag, stopped at his voice,

"No need for that." She said with a blank face.

He who was getting off the bed, stopped, while she had left.

"What happened to her? Did something happen-"
Rehan suddenly became silent, as if he had remembered everything.

"Damn it!"
He sat there anxiously.

Returning to hospital after several days, she was feeling much better.
I know it's kinda weird but somehow it feels good.

"You know, I missed you so much. Thank God, you're back."

Alina spoke while checking the files lying on the counter table, while Gul, standing next to her, smiled slightly.

"Andddd? how were the wedding functions?!"
As Alina got curious,

"Everything-"
"Gul?"
A nurse from behind called out to her,
