The first day of kindergarten was a whirlwind of excitement and chaos. The classroom buzzed with energy from the young children who were excited to be in this new environment, well, most of them. Some of them kids were sat in the corners of the class, scared, nervous and afraid of being separated from their mommies.

Among them however was the chaotic troublemaker who never let anyone stand in his way, Katsuki Bakugou, a small but fierce-looking boy with spiky blond hair. His sharp, crimson eyes sparkled with intensity, reflecting his fiery personality. He stood near the entrance, his small hands clenched into fists as he eyed every single kid in the class with a disgusted look on his face. He was determined to make his mark.

"Alright children, everyone settle down and pick a seat." The teacher said with a bright smile on her face. She was a tall lady with pink shoulder length hair that framed her face beautifully, her bright green eyes sparkled with warmth and kindness, radiating an inviting aura that instantly put others at ease.

Bakugou looked around the class, trying to spot anyone who's worthy of his presence but was quickly interrupted by the teacher as she told him to sit next to a young boy who was sitting quietly at a table. He was busy doodling in a paper and seemed completely unfazed by his environment. His hair was half white and half red, which looked beautiful to Bakugou, but he would never admit that. So, he strides over to the bi-coloured boy and sits down at his table, making sure to keep a little distance between them.

This causes the bi-coloured boy to turn his attention to the blonde spiky haired boy, his heterochromatic eyes curiously observing Bakugou. "What are you looking at extra?!" Bakugou said glaring at the boy.

Todoroki feels a little surprised at his tone but quietly returns his attention back to his paper that makes Bakugo scowl, annoyed by the fact he just got ignored by the bi-coloured boy. He knew that this boy would only make him pissed off and decided to stay away from him as much as possible.

Fate, however, had other plans. During a group activity, the teacher paired them together. Bakugou scowled, not thrilled about working with anyone, especially not with someone so quiet but what made him even more furious is when he found out he had to work with the boy he despised the most in the world as well, Izuku Midoriya. He had dark green hair, which reminded Todoroki of a broccoli. He was an incredibly cheerful child who radiated positivity, that only caused Bakugou to despise him even more.

Todoroki simply nodded, accepting the arrangement without complaint. Midoriya sat next to Todoroki, "Hi, I'm Izuku Midoriya! What's your name?" The green haired boy asked him with a huge smile on his face.

"I'm Shoto Todoroki" he replied calmly with an emotionless face.

The blond boy's crimson eyes flickered between him and Midoriya, clearly displeased with the situation. Midoriya, however, seemed completely unfazed, his cheerful demeanor unwavering. Todoroki turned to look at the blonde boy, "What about you?" He asked nonchalantly.

"Tch, Katsuki Bakugou" He replied with an annoyed look on his face.

"Okay, class," the teacher announced, clapping her hands to get everyone's attention. "Today, we're going to create a poster about our favorite things. You can draw, write, or use any materials you like!"

Bakugou crossed his arms, a scowl deepening on his face. "This is so dumb!" he grumbled, earning a puzzled look from Midoriya.

"Come on, Bakugou! It could be fun!" Midoriya exclaimed, trying to encourage him.

"Shut up, you nerd!" Bakugou snapped, the fire in his eyes flaring up again. "I don't need your positivity!"

Todoroki, sitting quietly between them, observed the exchange with mild interest. He didn't mind Midoriya's bubbly personality; in fact, it was almost refreshing against Bakugou's abrasive nature. With a deep breath, Todoroki decided to speak up, hoping to redirect the tension.

"Let's just focus on the project," he said, his voice calm. "We can each share our favorite things and work from there."

Bakugou huffed but begrudgingly nodded, though he shot Todoroki a sideways glance that hinted at his annoyance. "Fine. What's your favorite thing, extra?" he asked, his tone more curious than confrontational.

"Um... I like cold soba," Todoroki replied simply, his heterochromatic eyes fixed on Bakugou.

Bakugou rolled his eyes. "Boring!"

"Okay, then what's yours?" Todoroki countered, his voice steady.

"Explosions!" Bakugou declared, a glint of pride igniting in his eyes. "I like all kinds of explosions! They're powerful and awesome!"

"Maybe you should draw one then," Midoriya suggested, "I'm going to draw All might!" he continued with a big smile on his face.

"Don't tell me what to do Deku! But I will, only because I want to." Bakugou shot back, his eyes glaring daggers at the poor green haired boy.

As the trio began their work, they created a chaotic blend of colors and designs. Midoriya eagerly sketched out the number 1 hero All might, while Bakugou drew massive explosions around it, complete with fiery bursts and dramatic lines. Todoroki, meanwhile, sketched a stickman figure with half red and half white hair holding a bowl of cold soba.

Throughout the 30 minutes, the classroom buzzed with laughter and creativity. The initial tension between the three boys slowly began to dissolve as they shared playful banter over their work. Bakugou kept catching himself staring at the bi-coloured boy, which only seemed to make him more annoyed at why he kept doing that, there was something about him that stood out to Bakugou, and he couldn't quite name what it was.

Bakugou and Midoriya would keep having playful fights over who's drawing looked better and that caused Todoroki to quitely chuckle at them, a feeling that was foreign yet strangely comforting.

Just as they were finishing their poster, the teacher walked by and beamed at their work. "Great job, guys! You all worked so well together!"

Bakugou's face flushed slightly, a mixture of pride and embarrassment at the unexpected compliment. "Whatever," he muttered, trying to maintain his tough demeanor, but Todoroki caught the slight smile that crept onto his lips which caused Todoroki to feel an unfamiliar feeling in his stomach.

As the day came to an end, Bakugou found himself lingering near Todoroki's table, a feeling he couldn't quite identify bubbling beneath his bravado. "Hey, you," he said, trying to sound nonchalant. "You're not as annoying as I thought."

Todoroki raised an eyebrow, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his lips. "Thanks, I guess"

And this formed a strong frienship between the two, or was it something more?
