Later, as the clock neared five, Todoroki grabbed some of his favourite snacks and made his way to Kirishima's dorm. When he arrived, he found the room already buzzing with energy. Midoriya was setting up a small projector for movies, Asui was arranging drinks on a table, and Iida was meticulously organizing the snacks everyone brought, and Uraraka, Kirishima, Kaminari, Mina and Bakugou were sat in the couches, talking. Well, Bakugou was just grumpily sat there who looked like he was forced to be here but nonetheless, Todoroki found it quite adorable.
"Hey man!" Kirishima said as he saw Todoroki, a broad smile spreading across his face. "Glad you could make it! Come on in, we're just getting everything set up."
Todoroki smiled back and nodded, stepping into the lively room. He placed his snacks on the table next to the drinks Asui had arranged and sat on the couch next to Bakugou.
Midoriya looked up from the projector with a grin. "Hey Todoroki! Do you have any movie preferences? I brought a mix of action, comedy, and some classics."
"I'm okay with anything," Todoroki replied. "I trust your taste."
Kaminari, who was sitting on the couch with a laid-back demeanour, chimed in. "As long as it's not a horror movie. I don't need nightmares tonight."
Mina laughed, nudging him playfully. "Scared of a little horror, Kaminari?"
Bakugou scoffed loudly, his voice cutting through the room. "What a pussy" he sneered, leaning back on the couch with his arms crossed. "You can't even handle a horror movie? Pathetic."
Todoroki frowned at Bakugou's rude comments but chose to focus on the movie as Midoriya turned it on. He hoped Bakugou would relax more as the evening went on.
As the movie started, the room was unexpectedly quiet. Everyone was focused on the screen, but as time went by, the room filled with laughter and chatter. Todoroki began to feel hungry, so he reached out to get some popcorn that Bakugou was holding. In his attempt, he accidentally grabbed Bakugou's hand instead.
Todoroki froze for a moment, his eyes widening in surprise. Bakugou's hand was warm and soft, and the unexpected contact sent a jolt of electricity through him. He quickly pulled his hand back, mumbling an apology. "Sorry, Bakugou."
Bakugou was just extremely red now, clearly blushing from the accidental contact that he just shared with Todoroki. "Whatever Icy hot." He mumbled under his breath.
The movie was finally over, and everyone decided to play a game.
Kirishima, his energy infectious, clapped his hands together. "Let's play '7 Minutes in Heaven!'"
Everyone looked at each other, contemplating on whether that would be a good idea. Bakugou shifted uncomfortably, his scowl deepening. "I'm not playing that stupid game." he grumbled, crossing his arms defensively.
"Come on, Bakugou! It'll be fun!" Uraraka chimed in, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "We'll all just go into the closet for seven minutes. No big deal!"
Midoriya nodded eagerly, a smile on his face. "It's just a way to get to know each other better! It's all in good fun."
Todoroki watched the scene unfold, intrigued yet slightly anxious. The thought of being alone with Bakugou in a closet sent his heart racing. Would it really be fun?
Kaminari smirked; his eyes gleaming mischievously. "Yeah, imagine all the secrets you could share!" He leaned closer to Bakugou, teasingly adding, "Maybe you can finally confess your love to Todoroki and make out with him".
"Shut the fuck up, dunce face!" Bakugou shot back aggressively, his face flushing again.
Kirishima stepped forward, a grin on his face. "Alright! How about we spin the bottle to see who goes with who?"
The group gathered in a circle, with Kirishima holding a bottle. "Alright, here we go!" he said enthusiastically, "Who wants to go first?"
Eventually, Kaminari agreed to go first, who got paired with Iida. As they headed into the closet, Kaminari quickly realized that seven minutes with Iida was going to be more of a lecture than a fun game. "Did you know that proper ventilation is crucial for a safe closet experience?" Iida began, and Kaminari felt his eyes getting sleepy as he had to listen to Iida yap about rules.
When they finally emerged, Kaminari was ready to move on. "That was... informative," he said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.
One by one, the others took their turns. Uraraka ended up with Midoriya, who emerged looking like he was on cloud nine, while Mina and Asui came out giggling about some shared secret. Bakugou remained quiet, arms crossed, but Todoroki noticed him sneaking glances his way throughout the game.
Finally, it was Todoroki's turn. He felt nervous as he approached the bottle. The room felt charged with anticipation, and he could sense Bakugou's eyes on him. Taking a deep breath, he spun the bottle, watching it spin wildly before it began to slow down.
As it came to a halt, Todoroki's heart raced. The bottle pointed directly at Bakugou.
The room erupted into cheers, and Todoroki felt heat rise to his cheeks. Bakugou's eyes widened, and for a moment, he looked genuinely surprised. "What the hell?!" he exclaimed, trying to play it cool but failing miserably as his scowl softened.
"Looks like you two are stuck together!" Kirishima said, practically bouncing with excitement.
Todoroki's breath caught in his throat as he and Bakugou got pushed inside the closet, the atmosphere thick with anticipation. Once inside, the door clicked shut behind them, leaving the two alone in the dim light.
Bakugou leaned against the wall, arms still crossed, trying to maintain his tough exterior. "This is so stupid," he muttered, but Todoroki could see the hint of a smirk tugging at his lips.
Todoroki smiled a little, happy to have a conversation with him again.
"I..missed you extra." Bakugou said in an unfamiliar calm tone that made Todoroki blink in surprise. He had never seen Bakugou so calm before, but it brought butterflies to his stomach.
