24. Outside

Gun kept staring at me.

He does that a lot.

Sometimes I wonder if he's really in love with me.

He buys me flowers and gifts, gives me massages, makes sure I finish before him in bed and so on.

I'm not sure, he does a lot for me.

Doesn't mean I've forgiven him one bit.

"Mama? What's wrong?"

I looked at Ren.

"Hm?"

"You look sad and mad. Why?"

"I just have a stomachache."

"It's because you ate eggs." Yuk said matter of factly.

I laughed and after breakfast; the boys took us into their play room to show us a dance they came up with.

Gun and I laughed as they danced and sang along to the song.

I frowned and looked at Gun's hand on my hip.

I looked at him as he smiled widely at our kids.

I thought about brushing him off but I knew the kids noticed the little things.

So I left his hand there.

I clapped as they finished their performance.

"Yay! That was amazing!" I cheered.

"You two should perform that at the party next week." Gun smiled and I looked at him confused.

"Party? What party?" Yuk asked.

"For your mom's and my 4th wedding anniversary."

It's been four years since then?

And I don't think it's anything to celebrate either...

"Are you excited momma!?" Ren asked excitedly.

"Of course!" I lied through my teeth. "Hey, do you guys want to go with Akari to pick apples for pie?" I asked and they cheered before running out the room.

I shoved Gun away and glared.

"Are you crazy!?" I snapped.

"What is it?" Gun raised an eyebrow.

"You know I don't want the boys surrounded by the yakuza! I don't want to be around them either! This party isn't happening!"

"It's already planned. We just have to decorate the house and have the people over.

"No!" I shoved him but he didn't move. "My boys are not going to be part of the Yakuza! They won't be involved with your family!"

We argued, more like I argued and he stayed calm, but then I paused.

I got a bad feeling in my stomach and looked around.

"Where are the boys?"

"They're baking with the maids." Gun said as I stood up and looked around.

I saw movement out side the window so I watched.

Yuk was skipping by himself in the garden, headed straight for the pond.
