Lina woke to the soft glow of morning light filtering through her curtains. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and took a deep breath, her heart racing as she thought of the day ahead. The weight of the world pressed down on her, but she pushed the thoughts aside. Today would be busy, and she needed to stay focused.

After adjusting her hijab, she went through her morning routine. Standing in front of the mirror, she practiced her best smile, trying to drown out the anxiety that had been creeping in. "Just breathe," she whispered to herself, drawing strength from the familiar words. Today was a new opportunity, and she had to believe it.

Once she stepped outside, the cool morning air hit her like a splash of cold water. She savored the calm, the city still waking up, and made her way to the office, her favorite brown bag slung over her shoulder. The street buzzed with the sounds of life, but she felt an unsettling disconnect.

Arriving at the office, she was greeted by the familiar chatter of her colleagues. The laughter and banter felt distant, like an echo of happiness she couldn't quite grasp. She sat at her desk, preparing for the day, but her mind was already racing with worries about her family.

Just then, Grayson popped his head into her cubicle. "Hey, little sister! Ready to save the world today?" he asked, a smirk on his face.

"Yeah, if saving the world includes making coffee and organizing files," she shot back, trying to muster a smile.

Leon leaned against the cubicle wall, his expression shifting to concern. "You sure you're good? You seem a little... off."

"I'm fine, just a bit tired," she lied, avoiding his eyes. She didn't want to burden him or Grayson with her worries.

"Alright, but if you need to vent, I'm here," he said before disappearing into the chaos of the office.

A few moments later, Leon sauntered over, his tall frame looming over her desk. "What's wrong? You look like someone just told you the Wi-Fi was down," he teased, but his eyes narrowed with concern.

"Nothing. Just... Mom," she replied, attempting to keep her tone light.

"Lina, you're not fooling anyone. If something's bothering you, just say it," he said, leaning in closer, his protective nature shining through.

"I promise I'm okay," she insisted, but Leon's stern gaze didn't waver.

"Listen, you don't have to take this from your mom. You can live alone if you want," he suggested, his voice low but intense. "I can't stand seeing you upset. It drives me crazy."

Lina felt a pang in her chest. She loved Leon for caring so much, but his anger toward her mother made her feel torn. "Leon, I know you hate her for what she does to me, but I can't just leave," she said softly, knowing she was walking a fine line.

"Maybe you should try, just for a while," he replied, his tone growing serious. "You deserve to be happy, Lina. Not... whatever this is."

Before she could respond, Grayson reappeared, breaking the tension. "How about we grab some lunch to lighten the mood? I hear food has magical powers," he said, his playful demeanor a welcome distraction.

Lina chuckled, grateful for Grayson's ability to ease the air. "I could definitely use some magic right about now," she replied, her heart lifting slightly.

As they walked to the café, Lina tried to soak in the banter between her brothers. Leon's overprotectiveness often felt like a heavy cloak, but Grayson's calm, practical nature balanced it out, reminding her that she had two pillars of strength in her life.

When they reached the café, Grayson ordered fresh juice and a grilled sandwich. She scrunched her nose, making her brothers roll their eyes.

"I want pasta," Lina said, making them both sigh.

"Can you eat something healthy for once in life?" Leon said sternly. Lina made a puppy face.

"And a cheesecake for dessert," Grayson gave her a death stare, and she smiled at him.

As she took a bite, she felt the sugary sweetness melt away some of her worries. "You know, I think I should open a desert shop. It'd be a hit," she said cutely, licking icing off her fingers.

Grayson rolled his eyes, shaking his head. "You'd probably eat all the inventory before anyone got a chance to buy anything."

"Exactly! Best desert shop ever," Leon laughed, making Lina annoyed.

After they finished lunch, they returned to the office. Lina felt a little lighter, her worries temporarily pushed aside by the lightheartedness of the morning. But as the day wore on, her mind drifted back to home, her mother's sharp words echoing in her head.

During a quiet moment, she decided to message her soul sister, Mia. They shared an unbreakable bond, even with the distance between them. Lina could always count on Zara to know just what to say.

Suddenly, her phone buzzed with a voice message from Mia. "Hey, Lina! Just checking in! Remember, you're a total rock star, and don't let anyone dull your shine. Love you!"

Lina smiled, warmth flooding through her. After listening to it a few times, she felt re-energized.

Just then, Leon and Grayson approached her desk. "Is that your secret power? Voice messages from Mia?" Leon asked, leaning over her shoulder.

"Pretty much!" Lina smiled, feeling a sense of normalcy return.

Grayson smiled, his expression softening. "But seriously, if you ever need to talk about anything, just let us know. You're not alone."

As the day progressed, Lina found herself lost in thought, feeling the familiar weight of her mother's expectations pressing down on her. The tension back home was suffocating. She often felt like she was walking on eggshells, never knowing when an argument might erupt.

In the late afternoon, the anxiety crept back in, coiling around her chest. She tried to shake it off, but the thought of her mother's harsh words lingered.

"Hey, you alright?" Leon asked, noticing her fidgeting with her bracelet.

"Just... home stuff," she replied, forcing a smile.

Leon's eyes darkened slightly. "You need to let us know if things get too rough. I can't stand seeing you cry," he said, his protective instincts kicking in again.

"Honestly, Leon, I appreciate it, but I'm okay," she assured him, even as her heart raced.

After work, she felt exhausted but still hopeful. The evening was creeping in, and she wanted to clear her mind. She sat in her room for a while, breathing deeply and letting her thoughts swirl.

Finally, she pulled out her prayer mat and knelt, offering her worries up to Allah. Each whisper of prayer calmed her racing heart, grounding her in her faith. She felt a moment of peace wash over her, as if the weight of the world had lifted just a little.

In that quiet moment, she held on to hope, believing that tomorrow would bring new possibilities. She finished her prayers and felt a sense of warmth envelop her, reminding her that no matter how dark things seemed, there was always light on the horizon.

Lina knew she had a long road ahead, but with Leon and Grayson by her side, she felt a flicker of courage spark within her. She would navigate this tumultuous sea, and hopefully, one day, she would find the shore.
