Last night was amazing. Aside from being in a completely different state with my bestfriends but I was with the love of my life. We could not stop touching each other and it was obvious that we weren't going to leave out of each others sites all trip. Well, that was until now when I wake up and don't see her but only an empty side of the bed where she was throughout the night after we watched Finding Nemo and ate snacks all night. "Verena?" I call out for her as I sit up rubbing my eyes but she doesn't respond. I get out of bed and just put on some sweatpants since I have no idea where my shirt is and head out of the room. "Verena?"

"She and Maira went shopping." Lucas says from the living room watching Paw Patrol on the huge flat screen tv. I chuckle at his show choice but sit down next to him.

"It's 10 in the morning and we got here yesterday, what could they possibly be shopping for?" I ask.

He shrugs. "Maira just said it had something to do with tonight." He says and I sigh hating surprises and hating being away from Verena.

"Well we have the whole cabin to ourselves what do you want to do?" I ask and he looks at me and smiles deviously and I raise a brow.

45 minutes Later

"WOOOOH!!!" I yell as I speed down the trail on the 4 wheeler. "Oh my god!" I exclaim jumping a heel.

"You're killing it!" Lucas yells passing me jumping another on the motorbike. Apparently he looked this place up before getting here and had hoped the girls would do something on their own so we could have time to do this and coming in the morning was the best idea because the late sunrise was beautiful coming here. "It's down here!" He yells and I follow him.

I feel my eyes soaking in the view as we come up to the spot that the instructor said is why people come despite the vehicles. "Lucas this is amazing." I breathe out taking off my helmet.

"Ha! Isn't it? Wow." We take a deep breath and then release at the same time. "This is incredible Talia." He says in awestruck.

We sit on some rocks as we stare out to the tall trees and lake that the trees surround reflecting off the crystal lake water. "I can't believe we're in California." He nods. "How are you?"

He sighs as he continues to look out. "I'm good." He look at me. "I hate that I even touched those things. I felt myself declining the second I did. I'm just glad I didn't get addicted to it ya know?" I nod. "Mairas still pretty mad but I can tell she's trying to forget about it."

"You were her bestfriend longer than her boyfriend Lucas, she could've lost you if she didn't care." He nods. "I'm just glad you didn't fight us. I think you would've lost her."

He sniffles. "I can't lose her Talia. I've loved her since I laid eyes in her. I lost myself but I won't go back."

I smile slightly. "You better not." He chuckles and we look back out soaking it all in until his phone rings.

"Hey baby. Oh yeah we just came to this trail thing. FaceTime so you can see it." He says and then they get on FaceTime and he shows the view we're experiencing.

"Oh my god you went there without us?!" Maira exclaims and I chuckle.

"You guys went shopping without us." I say as a matter of fact getting in frame and then my smile goes brighter at Verena coming into frame.

"You hate shopping." She says and I nod agreeing.

"You didn't even try to invite me you left me in bed. Thought we weren't doing that anymore?" I say smirking and her mouth flies open making Lucas and I laugh.
