While Izuku and Ochaco had their talk in the dining room, Eri was busy splashing her face with water from the sink on her tippie-toes. Once she was done, she pulled a piece of paper towel from the dispenser that was hanging on the wall. Once she was done, she tossed the paper into the trash like a good girl and proceeded to open back the door when she felt her feet caught onto something that nearly made her trip.
"Hm?" she said turning around to see a pink backpack a rolled-up sleeping bag, with a stuffed teddy bear wearing an astronaut suit lying on the top. She couldn't help but walk up and pick up the bear to look at it.
"So cute," she said giggling while gently giving it a hug. She stayed like that for a while and was about to put it back when she felt something brush against her leg very quickly. "Eek!"
She jumped and looked around the room while holding the bear close to her chest. Staring at the ground, she looked around what had touched her. Ever since she started living with Izuku, she had grown to be less scared, but that didn't stop her from being cautious and being ready to call for her hero. Backing up a little bit to the wall, she continued moving her eyes around trying to locate what was there, despite the darkness. It was then she noticed something glowing behind some old boxes that seemed to have been delivered by truck. Making an audible gulp, she tipped toed towards the boxes gently.
"Um, hello?" she said holding the bear tighter as she approached the boxes. As she got closer, she could've sworn she saw green glowing eyes looking up at her and blinked. She was relieved that it didn't look like a human but when she got closer, the thing made a hiss like an angry kitten which made her back up a bit. After gaining her confidence again, she went a little closer and knelt down to her knees, leaned in, and said, "It's okay. I won't hurt you"
She waited for a while until the boxes that were covering up the thing moved to reveal what was hiding in the shadows. Slowly walking up to her on all four legs, revealed to be some sort of cat-like creature with black fur, orange streaks, and green glowing eyes.
"Meow," it said as it continued to approach Eri. Though it didn't really look like a cat, to Eri, it really acted like one. Once it was close enough, she slowly reached out her hand to pet it, but the cat slightly backed up and hissed like it was going into a defensive position. Eri pulled her hand back a bit and again stretched it out while smiling.
"I-I'm not gonna hurt you," she said a little scared but more confident. As if it understood what she said, the cat relaxed and walked up to Eri again. Finally, after finally closing the distance, Eri placed her hand on the side of the cat's head and rubbed it along the fur. The cat in response nuzzled into her hand and began to purr. Eri couldn't help but giggle as it continued to rub itself on her hand, up her arm, until it walked right onto Eri's lap. Nuzzling itself onto her cat sweater, Eri giggled, and said "You're so cute"
