At the sound of the final school bell, all the kids jumped out of their chairs and made their way to leave. Eri was still working on her drawing, so when she heard the bell, she placed her name in the corner of the paper, stood up, and walked to the front of the class. Beside the whiteboard was a corkboard about the same size and hanging on it were multiple sheets of paper with different drawings. Each of them was a drawing that looked like a hero, especially since most of them looked like All Might. With a deep breath, she stood up to her tippy toes, took up a spare tack that was on the side, and stuck her drawing up for everyone to see.

Compared to everyone, hers was the only one that matched up with theirs. Most were of All Might, Endeavor, Thirteen, Miruko, etc. But even so, Eri didn't care, because she smiled at her drawing with pride, nodded her head, and ran back to her desk to grab her things. While she was packing, she noticed Satsuki running past her and to the entrance of the class, where a girl who looked a lot like her, wearing a high school uniform was waiting for her.

"Oh, it's her big sister from earlier, Tsuyu" Eri whispered to herself.

"Do you have everything Satsuki?" her sister asked.

"I do big sister," she said nodding her head. "Are Mom and Dad gonna be home?"

"Sorry, but they called me and said that they have to work the extra shift," she said in an honest, yet sad tone.

"Oh okay," Satsuki said lowering her head. Eri who was standing in the distance overheard, and couldn't help but feel bad as she watched her friend take her sister's hand and walk out of the classroom. After a few minutes, Eri walked out of the building to see some of the kids with their parents driving away. Seeing them smile excitedly with their father and mothers, she began to picture her life before she met Izuku. She was a little girl so she hardly remembered what her real parents looked like. After she had accidentally, um, she thought she would never be able to smile again, especially with the lifestyle she had lived with Shie Hassaikai only to be used as a guinea pig. But then after being saved by Midoribolt, she finally began to see color, light, and love. She has somewhere to call home, other kids to call her friends, and someone to call a father and her hero. Just thinking about it brought a smile to her face.

"What're you smiling for?" she heard someone from behind her. Turning around, she saw Kota walking up to her with his bag on his back. Once he stood beside her, she smiled even more and giggled.

"Is it wrong to smile?" she asked in a very slight teasing voice while twisting her body in place.

Kota then turned his head in the other direction, trying his best to hide the blush. He then opened his mouth and said, "N-No, it's just... I thought something here made you smile just now. Not that it's wrong or anything"

Hearing his response, Eri continued smiling before looking up to the sky.

"There was once a time I couldn't smile at all, even if I tried. I always thought I would stay sad and never smile or laugh again," she said causing Kota to look at her surprised. To him, he could never imagine her to be the type to stay sad.
