Izuku Midoirya didn't know what he did to deserve this life. He was full of energy and always happy when he was young. But when he learned that all men are not equal in this world, everything changed.

Ever since he was diagnosed quirkless, everyone even his best now ex-best friend, Katsuki Bakugo, treated him as garbage like he was a reject. They even called him Deku which means 'Defenseless Izuku.' He didn't care cause no matter what people say, he always held his hands up high like All Might and said he can be a hero. That was until he met All Might after he was attacked by the sludge villain. When he told him couldn't be a hero without a quirk, his heart shattered and all his dreams were gone.

While walking home he saw a crowd and noticed the sludge villain has escaped and had Katsuki as a hostage. His hero instincts made him run out and go save him from a villain. If it wasn't for All Might coming and unleashing a Detroit Smash, he and Katsuki would've died.

Once everything calmed down, he got scolded by the heroes while Katsuki got praised which made him so upset and depressed about how his life could get even worse. It didn't take long till Katsuki came and yelled at him for saying he didn't ask for his help. He just ignored him and kept walking hoping his mom's cooking would make him feel good.

Upon entering his apartment, he was welcomed by his mother who was wearing an apron and holding a spatula.

"Oh, Izuku, you're home," she said walking up to him to give him a hug only to see a face full of gloom and sadness. "Izuku? What's wrong honey?"

"Mom..." he said in a low voice his hair overshadowing his eyes. "Remember, when I was little and I asked you if I can still be a hero even without a quirk?"

Inko stayed silent having a good idea where this was going.

"Well, you were right," he said as tears began to slowly trail down his cheeks. "I was just so, blind to the truth that I thought can do it"

"Oh, Izuku," his mother said slowly walking up to him and raising a hand. "It's gonna be oka..."

"It's never gonna be okay mom!" he shouted walking past her to his room. "Please, just leave me alone"

"Izuku, wait," she said trying to follow him. "There's actually something I need to..."

"I SAID..." he said even louder before turning around to face her. "...LEAVE ME ALONE!!!"

Unaware of him, his eyes began to emit a weird glow along with his clenched hands. His mother, Inko stared at him with wide eyes at the sight she was seeing.

"My god..." she said in her head. "Is that..."

"The teachers, the students, Kachan, the heroes even All Might! They all think I'm nothing but collateral damage!" Izuku screamed as his body began glowing green even more. "I try to be a hero, but no one sees me as one, not even you!"

"Izuku, please, calm down, and let's talk," Inko said trying her best to calm him down but his whole body glowed even brighter as he clenched his teeth and fist even tighter.

"IF I CAN'T BE A HERO, THEN WHAT AM I!!!!????" he screamed until he began to feel a pounding pain in his head which caused him to fall to his legs and hold his face. Moving his hand from his face, he finally saw the green energy flowing from him. "W-what's... happening... to me!!!???"

Suddenly for some weird reason, his mother launched himself at him and wrapped him in a hug.

"M-mom!!!" he shouted as the pain from his head began to flow to his entire body causing. "G-get away! I feel... like I'm gonna..."

"Izuku..." she whispered in his ears while smiling as tears trail down her face. "I'm sorry, for what I said. You'll be an amazing hero. Don't give up. Be like your father"
