Date Night

Tuesday
Day Before Thanksgiving

"Wake up baby." I feel kisses on my cheeks that make me smile as my eyes stay closed. "There's that gorgeous smile. Can I see those gorgeous eyes?" She whispers and I slowly open my eyes to see her smiling down at me as she sits on my lap. "Good morning baby."

I stretch and relax putting my hands on her lower back. "Good morning baby."

"How'd you sleep?"

"Perfect, you?"

"Amazing because I was with you." She says and kisses me softly. "I love you."

"I love you too." We kiss again and then get up to go get breakfast with Maira and Lucas. I put on my white sweater and blue jeans with my retro blues. Verena put on a white long sleeve ruched dress and white sandals. "You are perfect." I exclaim.

She blushes. "And you are breathtaking. Now let's go I am starving." She says and we head out of the room to the living room where Maira and Lucas are with Maira in an oversized black Tupac graphic tee and Lucas in black shirt sleeve button up and dark blue jeans with Panda Nike Dunks.

"Damn you guys look so good." Maira says and we chuckle.

"You guys too." Verena says and we head out to get breakfast. We make it to the diner and sit down with Verena and I sitting beside each other and Maira and Lucas sitting in front of us.

"So what's the plan for today?" I ask after we ordered.

Maira smiles. "Ok well since nearly everything is going to be closed tomorrow, we have to go thanksgiving food shopping and then I had planned for us all to go on a date night."

"Date night? I don't have anything to wear for a date night." I say and the girls smile mischievously. "What?"

"We went shopping for you guys yesterday at the mall and we've already got everything set up." Verena says and I smile at her.

"You guys just left us out of the loop on everything didn't you?" I ask and they nod proudly. I shake my head chuckling and then the food comes out and we start eating. Lucas and I got waffles, eggs, and bacon while the girls both got crepes which I'm pretty sure is just pancakes but fancier.

"Try it baby." She says holding up her for at my mouth and. I swallow my food and gladly take a bite.

"Mmm it's a flatter pancake." I say and she shakes her head rolling her eyes playfully.

"Nooo it's a crêpe baby." She says in a matter of fact but I don't see the difference but loving the way she pronounces it.

"So you guys are being all cute this week but what happens when we get back? Are you guys gonna go back to ignoring each other out of Talia's safety from your ex?" Lucas asks and Verena and I look at each other.

"Uh unfortunately we will. My parents haven't told me anything about her whereabouts meaning they haven't found her so we can't risk it." Verena says and I nod.

"That sucks man. I mean there's so many things fucked up about this," he quickly covered his mouth when he looks at Verena. We all laugh. "My bad Ms. R."

She chuckles. "It's fine Lucas we're all friends here." She says and he releases a breath. "But you're right it is fucked. I mean aside from my lunatic ex, Talia's still my student," I look at her. "So we still need to keep that in mind that's a risk in itself." She says looking at me with sadness in her eyes.

"We'll be ok. I promise." I say making her smile and pecking my lips softly. We continue eating and enjoying each others company until we leave to go walk around shopping plazas. I bought Verena a stuffed white tiger because she says it's her favorite animal, so of course I got it. We make it back to the cabin and put everything away.
