Ansh was sitting on his bed, wearing a cute bathrobe, watching as his father rummaged through the closet.
“Ansh, I think this outfit will look great on you!” Ankit said, holding up the seventh outfit he had picked out.
Ansh shook his head and said “No, Papa. That dress is old. I want to wear something new and nice. I’m going to Mumma’s house for the first time, and I want to look handsome!”
Ankit rolled his eyes at his son's antics and determination to impress his Priyanka, huh... With a sigh, he glanced back at the assortment of outfits to find something that would meet Ansh’s expectations.
Finally, after two more rejections, Ansh found an outfit he liked, and Ankit couldn’t help but feel relieved. Thanking his lucky stars, he quickly helped Ansh get ready. The father-son duo made their way downstairs, where Armaan was waiting impatiently.
“Hey, why did you guys come down so early? We have plenty of time. Go back and sit in your room for a bit longer!” Maan said, his tone laced with sarcasm.
Ankit rolled his eyes, while Ansh, not catching his uncle’s sarcasm, exclaimed eagerly, “No, Chachu! We have to go now! Mumma must be waiting for me. Come on, come on!” He started dragging both Ankit and Maan by the hands, clearly excited.
Ankit chuckled at his son’s enthusiasm, which only made Maan scowl in playful annoyance but he couldn’t help but smile at Ansh’s eagerness
Priyanka's House
After speaking with Ansh, Priyanka quickly got ready and came downstairs with a bright smile on her face. Her family, noticing her unusual cheerfulness, exchanged puzzled glances, trying to figure out what had put their Pari in such a good mood so early in the morning.
“Wow, Mom, where did the sun rise today? Our Pari is up early and looking all energetic, nothing like her usual lazy self!” Arjun teased, sipping his coffee. The comment drew laughter from the rest of the family, while Priyanka narrowed her eyes at him but chose to ignore it.
“Mom, today Ansh is coming to our house,” Priyanka announced, her smile widening.
Arjun stiffened, and her parents exchanged knowing glances. “Why?” he asked sternly.
Priyanka frowned slightly but replied, “Because he’s missing me and wants to meet up. I invited him over. Mom, please help me make all his favorite dishes today, he’ll be so happy And especially cupcakes he loves them so much. We can make them and...”
Priyanka continued enthusiastically listing everything she wanted to do for Ansh, her excitement evident in every word and the radiant smile on her face.
A smile spread across Priyanka's family's faces as they witnessed her excitement and happiness. They could see how much she cared for Ansh and decided to support her in whatever she wanted to do.
Priyanka quickly dragged her mom and Aarohi into the kitchen. She didn’t know how to cook well, having only attempted it once for Ankit back in college, which turned into a mini adventure that left her family wary of her culinary skills. After that, she didn’t need to cook in California either, as Riya was passionate about cooking, and Sid and Sameer were also good in the kitchen.
But now, Priyanka was determined to cook for Ansh.
“Mom, Aaru, please help me cook! I want to make something special for Ansh!” she pleaded, making her family widen their eyes dramatically.
“Pri, you don’t need to. Mom and I can handle it,” Aarohi said, looking a bit concerned.
“No, I want to, Please, I promise I won’t make any mistakes and will do exactly as you both say. Pretty please!” Priyanka gave her best puppy eyes, the same look she had used to charm her family till four years ago. Happy tears brimmed in her mom’s and dad’s eyes, seeing their Pari behaving like her true self again.
