Interlude (3)

Oh sugar beans! Where am I and I and why do I feel stuck? I looked around the room and waited. Am I… in a hospital?
“WHAT HAPPENED? WHY AM I HERE?!” I yelled. Doctors came running into the room I was in.
“Hey, we need you to calm down. You're gonna be alright,” one nurse said.
“Just deep breaths in and out, again, now in and… out,” the nurse said again.
I took a few deep breaths as she said. I didn’t realize but my heart rate was almost 200 bpm. They immediately called my guardian to update the news that I was awake.
"WHERE'S MY NEPHEW?!" I heard my aunt say.
"Aunt Alyssa?!" I said.
"Thank God you're ok," she said while crying.
           This is the day I call a maniac. All because I don't remember what happened to me. I felt so bad I had to put my aunt through another traumatizing event.
"I thought I lost another person," Aunt Alyssa said.
"Don't worry I'll be careful from now on," I said in what sounded to me a calm tone, but that's not what she thought.
"Y-you better not," she said while sniffing.
"Oh, well I'm sorry to bother you. We need to check his vitals and everything before we decide anything," The doctor said.
           After they checked my vitals the doctors gave me the okay. Now I can finally go home.
“We are sorry to tell you that you can't go to school yet. In the meantime, we are putting you on bed rest,” the doctor said with a smile like everything was fine.
“WAIT! DOES THAT MEAN I HAVE TO STAY HOME!?” I say filled with joy.
“Sadly, yes...but I have video games out and set up for you.” Aunt Alyssa said.
“Really?” I said with tears in my eyes.
“Yea! But only after you catch up on your school work.” She said proudly like a superhero.
My smile drained from my face “I have to catch up on all of my classes…” I said remembering that I missed one or two months of school. The drive home was silent though. It was… disturbing.
           When we entered the house Aunt Alyssa told me there were leftovers in the fridge. My dog Max came running up to me and tipped me over and I yelped.
           BAHAHA THAT MEANS I CAN SNEAK AROUND THE HOUSE! SHE WILL NEVER KNOW-. I thought with a grin.
“Don’t you even think about sneaking around the house!” Aunt Alyssa said before I even went into my room.
Max followed me of course. “I have been caught.” Max barked in response.
After staying home and catching up on school work for a week. My doctor gave the okay to be released from bed rest.
