SIXTEEN elissa, the new handmaiden
(WARNING: ELISSA BEING A WEIRDO)
—IT WAS THE morning and daemon had yet to go but jaehaera couldn't get mad because she didn't specify what time of the day she wanted him to leave, but she assumed he could leave straight in the morning.
"daughter." daemon greeted as he walked in the open doors of the library, where jaehaera was in since she wasn't busy and no one needed her.
jaehaera sighed at the sound of his voice and suddenly felt like becoming an alcoholic. the rider of the cannibal didn't look up from her book, flipping a page. "to what do i owe the pleasure?" jaehaera sarcastically mumbled in a bored tone, loud enough for him to hear.
"i want to introduce you to someone." daemon told her, not caring she hadn't looked up from her book. his words catched jaehaera's attention and she looked up to see her father and a young lady beside him.
jaehaera examined her, button nose, brown hair that was slightly frizzy and was put up, dark blue eyes and she looked like she tried her hardest to try look good. she kept a natural look on her face, calm and collected.
"my lady." the young woman bowed her head respectfully before raising her head back up.
jaehaera's face softened into a confused expression and she raised a brow and her eyes went to her father's, giving him a confused and annoyed look, who raised his eyebrow back.
jaehaera sighed and closed her eyes for a second as she got up from her seat. she opened her eyes again and took a few steps forward towards them but stopped at a reasonable distance. jaehaera didn't want to be disrespectful, even though her father was introducing them.
jaehaera noticed she was taller than the girl infront of her, the girl coming up to her eyebrows.
