Rowan suddenly awakens from their nightmare, gasping for breath as the lingering terror from their nightmare grips them. Their body was drenched in a cold sweat, the dream's horror still fresh in their mind. They look around the room, their heart still racing as they try and shake the remnants of the nightmare from their awareness.

As they glance at the phone, they notice that it's been buzzing, the notification light blinking intermittently. Someone must have been trying to reach them while they were asleep. A feeling of dread washes over them as they picked up the phone and checked the notification.

Their heart sinks as they see the number of missed calls flashing on their phone. Seventeen attempts to reach them, each one a testament to the person's relentless determination to contact them again. The unknown number, presumably your captor, has been trying incessantly to get their attention.

"Demi is that you?" Rowan asks, answering the phone call.

As they answered the call, they were greeted by a familiar voice on the other end.

"Ah, you finally decided to pick up my calls, I see. Took you long enough, love."

"Demi, if you even care an ounce about me, please come to the room. I don't want to be alone anymore."

There's a pause on the other end of the line, a hint of hesitation in the voice's response.

"Ah, finally pleading for my company, are we? I suppose loneliness is starting to get to you, hmm? But if you want me to come to the, you're going to have to promise me something first, sweetheart."

"God please Demi, just come into the room." they begged

The voice on the phone seems to contemplate for a moment, its tone shifting to a softer, almost patronizing one.

"You sound desperate, dear. It's amusing, really. But I suppose I could come into the room, but only if you promise to behave. Can you do that for me, darling?"

"Please Demi, I'll behave." Rowan begs.

The voice on the phone lets out a soft, almost condescending chuckle.

"Ah, such a good little captive, begging so nicely. Alright, I suppose I'll come and visit you then."

There's a click, and the line goes dead as the person on the phone ends the call.

The waiting felt like an eternity as they sat on the bed, their heart racing in anticipation of Demi's arrival. They were desperately lonely and in dire need of companionship, and the wait only seems to make the solitude feel even more suffocating. Time ticks by slowly as they anxiously await the sound of footsteps or the click of the door unlocking, signaling Demi's arrival.

As the waiting continues and the door remains closed, the hope slowly fades away and disappointment floods their heart. Despite their pleas and promise to behave, Demi did not come to see them. They couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration, disappointment, and a deep sense of abandonment. Their mind spirals with thought, wondering why they broke their promise and left them alone again.
