There is a new boy in town who goes by the name of Ash Ketchum. A cold and mysterious boy who doesn't like to open up and seems to neglect everyone. He has just moved into a completely new neighborhood in Kalos. His only friend at his new school is...
Ash has just taken the bus ride home from Lumiose City to Vaniville town. After the bus ride it was a simple five minute walk to his home. As he walked he heard a distinct ringing noise nearby. He looked down and realized the Xtransceiver was ringing.
Ash picked up the Xtransceiver... and it was Cilan on the other end. He instantly recognized his older connoisseur friend and smiled.
"Cilan! What's up," Ash answered.
"Hi Ash, good to see you again. I'd like to chat with you in person if you can. Preferably in a more private and quiet area," Cilan requested.
"Yeah, sure Cilan. I don't have anything better to do at the moment. Where do you wanna meet?" He asked.
"There's a little battlefield area in the center of Lumiose City, looks kind of like a Park. Shouldn't be too busy by the time we get there. Sound good?" Cilan said.
"Yeah, Okay Cilan. I'll see you there," Ash replied. Before Ash hung up, Cilan had sent him an image of what the park area looked like just to be sure of the Rendezvous point.

Ash got to the park with no trouble at all. As there was still no sign of Cilan anywhere Ash took a seat on a nearby bench as he waited for his friend's arrival. He saw a couple of youngsters battling it out on the dirt battlefield. A small smile formed on his lips as memories came flooding back of Ash and Gary duking it out back in Pallet town.
Later...
It had now been an hour and a half of Ash waiting for Cilan to appear. The sun was starting to set now meaning it was getting dark soon. Ash was now fully lying down on the bench as he waited... and waited for Cilan to appear.
"Man, where is this guy?" Ash mumbled to himself. Just then Ash sat up as he noticed a familiar looking man approaching. He already knew it was Cilan based off his waistcoat and flashy green hair which was slicked back.
"Hey I've been waiting forever, man. Where the hell you been?" Ash questioned, curious as to what could had possibly taken him this long to get here. "Sorry Ash, I lost track of time. I'm a very busy man these days, kid. One day, you'll understand and live through it too..." Cilan answered.
"Riiight - you just happened to show up an hour after I did, huh?" Ash responded sarcastically.
"Anyways..." Cilan took a seat next to Ash on the bench as they looked on to the now empty dirt battlefield. "Ash, you remember what we spoke about not too long ago, yes? About Team Plasma, Rocket, And the rise of Team Flare."
"Yes, Cilan, Of course. How could I not?" Ash responded. "The thing is, Cilan, I wanted to ask you something I forgot to ask you last time. What are we going to do? I mean, how are we even going to begin to try and stop Team Plasma if they're in a different region?"
"Well, first, we take things slowly. We'll worry about Team Plasma later. We cannot fly to different regions as of right now due to the stormy weather in between Kalos and Unova. We should be worrying about Team Rocket right now," Cilan explained.
"That's right! I remember you told me that they were making moves here already. So, anything come up?" He inquired.
"Not really, but we do know what they're after, and that's good enough for us, Ash. Fortunately, my colleagues Chili and Cress have been keeping tabs on Team Plasma back in Unova. They've been monitoring their every move," Cilan told.
"Ah, Okay. So you've got it under control then? If those goons manage to find that valuable stone thingy it's all good?" Ash asked.
"The Meteonite? Yeah, we have it covered. Apparently they have it hidden somewhere deep in the desort resort again. Not very smart stashing it there, but I won't complain. As soon as the airports are back up and running, I'm thinking of taking a Trip to Unova to take that Meteonite once in for all," Cilan said.
"So, where are we going with all this? I'm still very confused. What significance do I even have in all of this?" Ash questioned. Cilan turned to him for a moment with a blank expression. Then he chuckled.
"Ash... you know, I've seen some crazy stuff go down over the years, but with you, it's always on a whole different level. I've never seen anyone else take down multiple criminal organizations practically all by themselves. On top of that, jumping off the tallest tower known to man in this very city to save their partner..."
Ash's mouth gaped in shock. How on earth did he know all of this stuff. "Yeah, that's right. I've done my research Ash. I know what you're capable of, and I need a guy like you on my team," Cilan said
"But, What do you mean, Cilan? 'On your team'? We're friends, aren't we?" Ash asked cluelessly.
"That's not what I meant. Remember when we last met and I asked if you would help me? That's what I mean," Cilan clarified. Now Ash understood. He was committed to helping Cilan take down all these crooks even if it meant putting himself in harms way.
"Oh, yeah I'll help. I'm just wondering what our first task will be. If it's not Team Plasma, it's Team Rocket, right?" Ash raised a brow.
"Yup. I'm gonna take a flight to Unova soon. Once my colleagues and I get our hands on that Meteonite, I'll call you. When I call you, that's when you come in. That's when I'm going to need you for a very important job. 'Kay buddy?" Cilan spoke, mellowed out.
"Sure Cilan. You give me the call, I'll be there." Ash agreed.
Inside the gym was a dark-skinned woman, curled purple hair and violet eyes. This Woman was known as Olympia, the Anistar City gym leader. She looked to be floating due to her Psychic power. Down on the ground stood her very loyal apprentice, Charlene, a young blue haired girl who was a great co-leader to all the other Physics inside the gym sometimes even leading the meditation sessions.
As Olympia's eyes were closed, very, very focused... her eyes suddenly shot open as she began screaming intensely as something.
"Ms. Olympia?! What are you seeing?" Charlene asked, frantically. It was not unusual for Olympia to get visions from the future, but whatever she was seeing right now had to be intense.
"I, I see it!" She Yelled, eyes still wide open. "The danger lurking around this Region. They're getting ready to do it!"
"What?? What people? And do what?" Charlene panicked. She didn't know what Olympia had just seen, but she wanted to know too for the safety of their region. The last time their was a disaster in Kalos the world almost ended.
Olympia raised her hands up displaying an image of a huge pink R. "These are the ones who will start the crisis all over again..." Olympia stated. "And the one who will ignite the crisis even more... She displayed another image, this one of a person. A tall, slender looking man wearing a waistcoat, black pants, and green hair slicked back. No doubt it was Cilan.
It seems like another dangerous crisis is due to hit the entire Kalos region... and they are not prepared...
A/N: Before I end this chapter off I'd like to clarify a few things. I'm gonna try my best to keep this story balanced. By that I mean having Junior cup chapters and the Cilan arc at different times so it doesn't feel all mixed up. Also if any of the recent chapters have been boring I apologize for that. I just want to get this arc started as soon as possible while also preparing the Junior Cup chapters. I will also be updating this story more frequently now to keep it from getting stale.
