Timor attempts to create an alliance with Apollo to gain the trust of a group that took him in. (post Timor leaving The Lab and The Hunters)
Nora didn't trust him. Timor couldn't blame her too much, of course. But it was still beyond frustrating. Though maybe that was just because Timor hadn't dealt with any emotions at all in years. Including any form of frustration.
That being said, the vampire refused to acknowledge any of the sacrifices Timor had made for the group. It's not like it was easy to cut the emotion blocker out of his body. It's not like it was a walk in a park to fight off the other hunters, the closest thing to a family he had.
But he did it. For them. Well, mostly for Emmy. But Emmy cared about Soap and Nora so it was basically the same thing.Emmy had been a huge help though, guiding Timor as he learned to regulate his emotions and shifts, making Nora at least tolerate his presence, ect.
It wasn't enough though. By no fault of Emmy, of course. When Timor heard Nora, Emmy, and Soap talking about Apollo of all people, he got an idea.
"Are we still trying to get Apollo's allyship?" Emmy asked around the campfire one night.
"It might be a lost cause. On the very rare occasion I've actually found him, he doesn't seem too capable of holding a conversation""You said an allyship with him would basically guarantee our safety though, right?"
"Yes. But you can't make an allyship with something that doesn't even know what's going on."
Emmy frowned but dropped it.
Timor knew something they didn't though. Timor knew how to track Apollo down, he had done it countless times before. Not only that, but he knew the power that could protect them was in the microphone, not the god himself.
If he retrieved the Microphone, surely Nora would trust him. If that couldn't prove himself to her, nothing could.
So after a few days of planning, he left. He felt bad, of course, not telling Emmy he was leaving or where he was going, but he felt it was better this way. No Nora breathing down his neck, trying to figure out if he was trying to trick them or not. Which he was not. He'd be back in a few days, microphone in hand, trust gained and ready to make it up to Emmy. It was a perfect plan.
It didn't take him long at all to track down Apollo. Ever since he escaped the lab, he had become more predictable. And yet more untouchable than ever. Not that that mattered, Timor no longer had any interest in catching Apollo. That was the lab's wants, not his own.Apollo spent most of his time these days at Aseil Stoll's house. Aseil didn't know Timor, but Timor knew a lot about Aseil. After all, he was the one who brought Aseil into the lab.
Timor didn't like the idea of breaking into the house to retrieve the microphone. If the microphone was there, Apollo was there. And if Apollo was there, and caught Timor breaking in, Timor didn't want to test just how competent the god was these days. That might not end well for him.
However, the meetings the god and Aseil attended... that could work. More people. A stranger there wouldn't be too suspicious. It would be easier for Timor to go unnoticed. Of course that's relying on the idea Apollo didn't hold onto the microphone 24/7... he'd figure it out.So Timor waited until the small religions' next meeting. He didn't like spending so much time away from Emmy, but it would be worth it. Luckily he didn't have to wait too long before the next meeting. Just the next night. The religion didn't hide the time or place either. All he had to do was look up 'The Church of Apollo' on a library computer. They had a public Facebook group.
Timor wasn't exactly sure why but he expected the information to be harder to get.
They had a makeshift church at this point. A building they had bought, and trying to renovate. At the moment it wasn't too pretty but it was perfectly usable.
