Chapter 7

Harry’s POV

Well, it was official. I had a crush on her.

Crush feels like the wrong word though, like something you had in high school. But I’m more grown up now, so it’s different. How about this:

Well, it was official. I really liked her.

I think that sounds better.

I’m pretty sure I had liked her right away, when I first met her in MacDonald’s. But it’s grown since then, especially when I comforted her during the horror movie.

I didn’t really get scared but horror movies because they seemed so fake, but they certainly scared Piper. She had pulled her knees up to her chest and the entire beginning of the movie she was tense. And she would jump a little bit whenever something popped out.

At one point in the movie I heard her give a small yip of fright. I didn’t like seeing her scared so I put my arm around her and pulled her towards me. I felt her hesitate for a moment but then curl up into my side.

It was like we were two puzzle pieces meant to fit together. Her warm body felt just right snuggled against mine. Her curled up against me seemed to help a lot and whenever a scary part came on she would just nuzzle her face into my chest.

I didn’t really think anyone had noticed our position because the lights were off and everyone seemed so focused on the movie. But after the girls left Louis came up to me with a smirk on his face.

“So you and Piper, huh?”

“Oh you saw?” I groaned a little bit internally. “It was nothing, I was just comforting her cause she was scared.”

“Yeah, I’m sure that’s the only reason,” Louis rolls his eyes. “You fancy her don’t you?”

I can’t lie to Louis, so I just shrug and say. “Maybe.”

“YOU TOTALLY DO! I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!”

“Shut up, Louis! The other boys are just upstairs, they can probably hear you. I don’t want them to know,”

“Fine, I won’t tell them. But I’m just so proud of my Hazza for growing up,” He wipes a pretend tear from under his eye.

“Shut up,” I say again.

“NEVER!” He yells and then runs up stairs to probably annoy the others. Oh well, at least he left me alone.

And then today when we picked her up from her school and took her out to lunch. She was so happy and energetic and playful the entire time, asking us funny questions and answers some weird ones we had.

I think it is really cool that she used to do things like ride horses and was a cheerleader. She has the cutest accent ever and I just love the way she says certain words.

When we got to the restaurant, I noticed the waitress flirting with us a bit. She was sort of pretty but not my type, so I wasn’t interested.

The entire time we were out for lunch, Louis kept shooting me knowing looks whenever he saw me and Piper talking. It was annoying and I tried to get him to stop but he didn’t. Luckily, Piper never seemed to notice.

She didn’t know what to get so I ordered for her and I don’t think it’s a bad thing to see a girl eat a normal amount. When girls trying and be fake and not eat I think it’s just stupid.

“You’re going to have to tell me who you like eventually,” She whispered directly into my ear after we had finished eating and she tried to pay. I felt her breath move my hair a bit and tickle my neck, making my shiver slightly.

“You’re going to be waiting a while then,” I replied. I was probably going to have to admit my feels to her at some point but defiantly not now. We had only just met and I didn’t want to seem too forward.

Almost ironically, she was wearing a shirt that said “NO BOYFRIEND, NO PROBLEM” on it. It was sort of a good and bad thing. Now I was sure she didn’t have a boyfriend, but now I wasn’t sure if she would want one.

When we left the restaurant there were a couple paps around but we just ignored them. There will probably be rumors going around about whom Piper is and if she is dating one of us. There also might be hate, which I really hope doesn’t affect Piper’s bubbly personality.

Piper is defiantly one of a kind, and I think she’s perfect.
