The familiar sound of basketballs bouncing and sneakers squeaking echoed through the gym as Sunoo, Heeseung, Ni-ki, Jay, Jungwon, Jake, and Sunghoon sat in their usual spot on the bleachers. It was their go-to place after school, a safe haven where they could just unwind, laugh, and talk about anything. Wonyoung, Chaewon, and Sakura had joined them today, sitting comfortably next to Sunoo. The three girls were some of his closest friends, and their presence had always been a source of comfort for him.

But even as the group laughed and joked around, there was an unspoken tension in the air. Sunoo, though present, seemed a little detached. He smiled when they talked to him and laughed at their jokes, but something was off. The bond they once shared had changed, and everyone could feel it. Sunoo no longer lit up the room like he used to. He was still kind, still warm, but the closeness they once had was frayed. The hurt lingered between them, and it was hard to go back to the way things were.

Chaewon leaned in, giving Sunoo a gentle nudge. "You okay?" she asked softly.

Sunoo offered her a small smile. "Yeah, I'm fine," he replied, though Chaewon could see the subtle shift in his eyes, the weariness that had settled in since the incident with Eunjin.

Before they could continue, the door to the gym slammed open, and in walked Eunjin, her expression twisted with anger. Sunoo tensed slightly, though he didn't say anything.

Eunjin's gaze locked onto them, but it was clear who she was really here for-Sunoo. "Oh, look at you all, sitting here like nothing happened," she sneered, her voice dripping with contempt.

Wonyoung's face hardened. She had put up with enough of Eunjin's nonsense, and this was the last straw. Eunjin had spread rumors about her before, and Wonyoung wasn't about to let her walk in here and make trouble again. Rising to her feet, Wonyoung stood tall-her height making her presence even more dominating.

"I've had enough of you," Wonyoung said sharply, stepping forward to meet Eunjin. "You've been causing problems for everyone, and I'm not going to let you get away with it anymore."

Eunjin's eyes widened, not expecting Wonyoung to stand up to her so fiercely. "Oh, please," Eunjin spat, trying to act tough. "You think you're going to scare me?"

Without hesitation, Wonyoung moved closer, her stance unwavering. The tension between them escalated quickly, and before anyone could intervene, Eunjin lunged at Wonyoung. But Wonyoung, with her long limbs and athleticism, quickly overpowered her. Eunjin struggled but couldn't keep up, and within moments, Wonyoung had her pinned down.

The gym fell silent except for the sound of Eunjin's heavy breathing and the angry tears streaming down her face. She glared at Sunoo, her rage bubbling over as she finally broke down. "This is all your fault, Sunoo!" she screamed, her voice cracking as her emotions spilled out.

Sunoo remained seated, his expression impassive. But everyone could see the flicker of hurt in his eyes.

"You always get away with everything!" Eunjin sobbed, her voice laced with venom. "You have the perfect life, the perfect parents, perfect grades, perfect friends! Everyone loves you, and you don't even deserve it! You act like you don't even remember me after all these years!"

Sunoo blinked, confused. He genuinely didn't remember much of Eunjin from the past. They hadn't been close, and if they had crossed paths before, it wasn't significant enough for him to recall. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said quietly.

Eunjin's face twisted in frustration. "Of course you don't. You never noticed me. Even when I beat you in that stupid art competition in middle school, you didn't care! You smiled and congratulated me like it was nothing. It was my victory, not yours! You don't even care!"

Sunoo exhaled slowly, the weight of her words settling over him. He could feel her resentment, but he wasn't going to apologize for something that wasn't his fault.

"It's not my fault that you feel this way," Sunoo said, his voice calm but firm. "I didn't choose to have the things I have. I didn't do anything to hurt you."

Eunjin stared at him, her chest heaving with anger and frustration, but Sunoo was done. He wasn't going to engage in this anymore.

Without another word, Sunoo stood up, his eyes reflecting both his exhaustion and his resolve. He turned and walked out of the gym, leaving Eunjin sprawled on the floor, still sobbing.

The others watched in silence for a moment before Wonyoung, Chaewon, and Sakura stood up to follow Sunoo. Slowly, one by one, the boys got up too-Heeseung, Ni-ki, Jay, Jungwon, Jake, and Sunghoon. None of them said a word as they filed out behind him.

Eunjin was left alone on the gym floor, her tears still falling, but no one looked back. The damage was done, and the group had chosen their side. Sunoo, with all his quiet strength, had walked away, and they followed him-because, in the end, Eunjin's bitterness wasn't worth their time.
