Chapter 5: Illusion Fanboyz

Jace’s POV:

@5 p.m.

I went home in a happy mood that evening after knowing Richie A was off my back for a little while. Like I could finally breathe comfortably.

I got to the door and met the door unlocked. Immediately, I knew Alvaro was at home. I knocked on the door but then again, it was never locked, so, I just walked in.

On walking in, the first thing I noticed was the T.V. on, airing Illusion. Illusion was airing, but no one was there. On my way to the room, I saw Alvaro taking something from the fridge.

“Hey! I’m back. Why are you home so early?”, I yelled happily.

“Oh, hey. I got to leave from work early today, so here I am.”, he replied.

“Are you really a fan of Illusion?”, I asked excitedly.

“No. I am a really big, huge fan of Illusion.”, he replied while we both got excited.

“No way! Me too! I even have all the character collections back at home.”

“Aw, lucky you. All? You gotta give me some.”

“Yeah, maybe. I’ll go change and we can watch together, okay?”

“Yeah, okay. I was just getting popcorn and drinks to watch it with.”

“You really know how to have fun, don’t you?”

“Yeah, always gotta keep it Poppin’. Alright, go freshen up.”

“KK.”

Hurriedly and excitedly, I took a quick shower and sported a casual wear and came back down where Alvaro already started the movie.

“Aww, you started without me? No fair.”

“Hehe. You better get ready. It’s a three-hour long marathon and I have to see it all.”

“Three hours? With Illusion? Yeah, no problem at all. But what about dinner?”

“I’ll probably order some food. Okay, shall we continue?”

“Yes, of course. Or as they say in Illusion, Let’s GO!”
After saying that, Alvaro gave me a soft look like he found what I did cute. Immediately, I felt embarrassed and kinda shy.

“What? Why the whipped look?”, I said shyly.

“Nah, I just found you cute. You are like that little brother I never had.”

“Awn, thanks. Okay, Illusion.”

“Yeah, now.”

We were well into the movie and the feeling, it felt good to know we had a few things in common or to connect over. We were two hours deep into the movie and Alvaro suddenly picked up his phone and stood up. He knew I was gonna ask where he was going and he said, “Just gonna order our pizza. Ain’t cooking tonight.”

“Please, get ice creams with it.”

“Ice cream on pizza? Not a bad combo.”, he said while I laughed out loud.

“Bro, you know what I mean.”, I said after laughing.

“Yeah, okay.”

“Hurry, I might wait for you but Illusion won’t.”

He ordered the pizza while I continued with the movie. When Alvaro ended the call, he came and sat right by me as we continued the movie. Shortly 15 mins later, the doorbell rang and we both yelled PIZZA!! He wanted to answer the door but I pushed him back gently like telling him to sit, I would answer it. I answered the door, tipped the delivery guy and came in with pizza. We dug right into the pizza and continued our fun. Only 10 mins left to the finale and unfortunately, my phone started buzzing.
