Richie's POV:
Nurse's office, 9 p.m.
My hand was bleeding not too much but it was bad. "Hurry!", I yelled at him because I was in a lot of pain then. I noticed his hands shaking while he was trying to apply it to the injury. He sprayed that liquid on my hand and man, it stung. I kept shifting my position uncomfortably on the chair.
When he applied the cotton wool and bandage, I never thought I'd say this but, he was so gentle with it and it felt nice. Was he a pro or something? The gentility. I kept fondling on the softness that I didn't know when I began to stare at him, not in the eyes but, I just kept looking at him. He was good. I kept doing this till I didn’t even notice he was done.
Once I snapped out of it, I felt uncomfortable with the whole thing and I was in a bad place so, I was in a hurry to leave from there.
"Maybe because we were together alone in a room.", I kept thinking. I was in a hurry to leave, so, I got a little cold with him.
As I passed through the door, I felt a little at ease. But then again, all of a sudden, I heard a light scream with a voice that yelled, "wait!" Immediately, I knew that was him because we were the only ones in school.
I wanted to ignore it but suddenly, I saw two reasons why I should help him. If I had left alone, the guard guy will have noticed something strange and maybe, I'll have been in more trouble. And, again, he was the one who helped me. He caused it from arguing with me, but he treated it and I felt better. I could have bled to death.
So, just like that, my subconscious won and I walked into the room. The poor thing was lying on the floor.
Then I bent down and reached my hand out to him. "Come on."He faintly got up and looked at me like I was some kind of angel that came to help him.I began getting uncomfortable again and yelled, "Will you get up or do you need me to go?"
"No, no, no please, I'll get up.", he said seeming scared.
He slowly got on my back and wrapped his arm around my neck to support himself. I got up, still with an injured hand, and tried to carry him out till we see a cab. Most buses usually go off duty at this time of the day, so my, no, our most viable option was the cab.Talk about a light cream puff. Carrying him was not that much of a problem but I couldn't explain why I felt uncomfortable. Let's get out quickly.
I quickly ran outside and I saw the guard. Maybe the guard thought it was an emergency, seeing as he was totally rested on me, but he quickly opened the door and let us out the school.
I decided to quickly look for a cab and take him home. I waited for a while and finally, a cab is approaching. Immediately, I motioned for him to stop and take him home.
"Hey, um, can you take this to...where do you live?", I asked the tired cream puff on my back. He seemed like he slept so, I shook him up and he woke up.
"What?", he said tired.
"Sorry, boys, I can't take anyone anywhere.", the cab man said.
"Why? Of course you can. You are a cab driver.", I said.
"Well, that is true, but I'm done with work for the day. And most of the other cab men are too, so either call your parents or walk wherever you're going.", he said.
"Ah, this is just great!", I said sarcastically.
"Uh, if you don't mind, my house isn't far from here," he said before I cut him off.
"And you're just saying this?"
"It's like a 20-minute walk from here.", he said.
"No way I'm walking 20 minutes with you on my back.", I said in anger. I guess I wasn't the only angry one that night because as I said that, thunder and lightening struck and it began raining.
