Chapter 10: Alvaro Meets Jace's Guys

Jace’s POV:

After school, @5 p.m.

The first test day ended and we all gathered outside the school to get to my place. Sydney on the other hand was taking more time than expected.

“Hey, Cam, where’s your girlfriend, hmm?”, asked Chase.

“Oh, Chase. But seriously, where is that chick?”, Nikki said.

“She’s busy putting on her “I meet someone new today” makeup.”, Cam said.

“Well, did she fall into the mirror? Why is she taking so long?”, Chase asked.

“I honestly don’t know.”, Cam replied.

“Hey guys!”, Syd yelled.

“Ooh-ooh.”, We all said to admire the makeup.

“Sorry I kept you waiting.”, she said.

“Yeah, the reason is quite evident.”, I said.

“Yeah, I’m meeting someone new today,”, she started.

“See?”, Cam interrupted.

“And this look with this makeup helps me make a good first impression.”, she finished.

“Okay, are we gonna discuss makeup or meet Alvaro?”, Nikki asked.

“Uh, I choose meet Alvaro.”, Syd said with a swooned eye.

“Whatever, we can take the bus.”, I said.

“So, Syd, we still on?”, Nikki said.

“Oh yeah!”, Syd said.

“On for what?”, Chase asked.

“Well Nikki and I made a little wager.”, Syd said.

“Let me guess, Topic Alvaro?”, Cam said.

“Yeah, if I don’t find Alvaro as hot as Syd here says, she has to quit vlogging and social media for a week. And if I do, which I doubt,” Nikki said.

“You’d be disappointed.”, Syd interrupted.

“Whatever, if I do, I have to be her vlog assistant.”, she said with discern.

“Vlog assistant?”, I asked.

“Yeah, I have to edit, redo and sometimes shoot her vlogs for a week.”, Nikki said.

“Ooh, spicy.”, said Chase.

“Bus’s here.”, I said.

We all took the bus and Sydney again pulled out her phone and started taking selfies. We were all in the back row of the bus and as silly as it sounds, we kinda thought she would feature us.

“Hey, uh, what are you doing?”, Cam asked.

“Just, um, taking selfies. I mean that’s obvious.”, She said looking a bit flustered.

“Okay.”, Cam said.

“Ahem.”, Nikki cleared her throat and rolled her eyes at Cam.

“What?”, Syd asked.

“We were kinda hoping you would you know, take a pic with us.”, Cam said.

“Ugh, fine.”, she said.

We all nestled in close for two selfie shots. Those pics really were cute.

“Okay, I’ve sent it to y’all.”, she said.

“Really? That fast?”, I said.

“If I know Syd well, that was at normal speed. Wasn’t it?”, Cam said.
