The two siblings ran a small library in a multi-ethnic neighbourhood. They did not seek recognition, but every day they provided a safe and inclusive space for all children and young people.

They organised events where cultures intermingled, different stories were read aloud and young hearts were opened to the world.

Both were certain that, years later, those children would come back, as adults, with gratitude. They would not have the glory of the great leaders, but the collective memory of library activities would be their laurel wreath, their true victory.
