She had always distrusted men, thought they were all the same, only interested in having fun with women, with no commitment.

But that young man she had just met was something else, something difficult to explain.

When he handed her a sachet of lavender, she was surprised. There was nothing superficial in his gestures, only kindness and care; his smile was sincere, without ulterior motives.
