A’ishah’s POV
A week had passed like a blink of an eye. Monday na nga ulit ngayon, ni hindi ko namalayan ang oras at panahon.
I only have 1 week left before the classes officially start. And to tell you honestly, I'm not yet ready. I know I still have time to change my mind but I don't think I can.
My mom will be disappointed and that's the least thing I'd want.
The whole past week, I did nothing but read books and enhance my knowledge about the subjects I'll be taking this coming semester.
Medyo mahirap at nangangapa pa ako sa mga unfamiliar terms na nababasa ko but somehow, naiintindihan ko naman libre naman ang goggle eh.
Nicole is always with me din. Kapag nagbabasa ako ay nagbabasa din siya. Mabilis nga lang siyang mainip kaya hindi ganon karami ang nababasa niya.
She made sure I had company the whole week. Although I'm fine being alone naman, she still never left my side.
It came to the point na sometimes she's sleeping with me pa. I'm not complaining pero sometimes it's getting annoying.
“What are our plans today?” She asked, laying in my bed while browsing her phone. While I'm sitting in front of the dresser, fixing my hair.
“Wala ka bang sariling plano sa buhay mo, Nicole?” Ang aga-aga nandito na siya kaagad.
I saw her roll her eyes through the mirror.
“Bakit, ikaw? Meron ka ba?” Balik nito sa akin. Ouch.
“Regarding about the most major decisions in my life? No. Pero when it comes to small decisions like this, yes.” But I'm not complaining. I'm doing my best regardless if it's a decision I made or a decision my mother made.
Kasi at the end of the day, it's me who'll suffer harm if I won't make it.
She stood up and pocketed her phone, “Tara, kape tayo.”
My eyes lit up as soon as I heard that. Alam na alam talaga ng angry bird ko kung pano ako kunin eh.
“Sure. But wait, I'll pick a nice clothes.” I excitedly strolled through my walking closet when Nicole grabbed me by the arm, stopping me from walking any further.
“Yan nalang suotin mo.” Naiinip na mukha niya ang tumbabad sa akin pagkaharap ko.
My smile dropped drastically. “Ampangit kaya. Mag-cocoffee tapos ganito lang ang suot?” I pouted.
“Ano namang masama sa suot mo? Magkakape lang tayo hindi magdedate kaya pwede na yan.” Binitawan niya ako saka ito naglakad papunta sa pinto.
“Ano? Sasama ka ba?” Naiinip na tanong niya.
“Sasama.” Walang gana kong sagot. Kasi naman naka shorts and a simple shirt lang ako. Pinambabahay ko lang to eh. Kainis.
Nicole drove her car to the nearest coffee shop. We intended to sit and relax inside bago umuwi. My plan for today is to read again. Mabuti nga at naisipan ni Nicole magkape. Medyo naddrain na rin kasi ako. I was just in the house the whole week eh.
Naalala ko rin na hindi pa pala kami nagbreakfast pareho ni Nicole kaya I told her to order us something to eat na din.
I am already seated while she's in the queue to order. I took my time, looking around the place.
It's cozy, and spacious. The modern vibe is relaxing plus the other customers are mindful about the volume of their voices while chatting.
Kaya kahit medyo marami ang tao ngayon, hindi parin maingay kasi tahimik na nag-uusap ang mga customers dito.
