The shift ended with no further action and both the boys headed to Eddie's.

So tell me everything how was Texas, did you guys have fun? - Asked Buck while he was closing the door behind him.

It was okay, I mean I wasn't in vacation, you know, I take days off so I can visit mom, dad and most important my abuela wanted to party her birthday there I couldn't say no - Answer Eddie, walking to the kitchen leaving all the bags with junk food they bought towards home.

I'm still very hurt you didn't invited me to your Abuela's party, she said I was like a son to her. - Shouted Buck from the living room while turning the T.V on.

It's something any abuela would do. They love everyone as they child but their own. Anyways...how are you? - Started Eddie cautiously - You know...because of...

Tommy's death anniversary? - Said Buck standing in the edge of the door - I'm...gonna be okay. You can say it Ed's, I have had my grief, I'm still dealing with it, you know, everyday's less and less, but some days...

I know...after Shannon...I had my lows, and you were there for me. I wanna be here with you...errr...for you, not just because you are my best friend but because I know how you feel, and I know it's a pain it can not be taken away, but at least we can make the effort of distracting you. - Was saying Eddie while he was getting closer to Buck. With every step he took Eddie could feel his own heart beating, maybe he was being too sentimental - So this is indeed Evan, a night for you, we can fool around, play video games, watch a movie, whatever you want, amigo mío. Today's about you.

By the moment Eddie stop talkin they were so close that Buck had to just take a step closer to his friend and throw his arms around his friend.

Thank you Eddie - Started Buck while sobbing - I don't know what I would do without you. You ARE the best friend anyone could wish for. You know I'd do anything for you too

Eddie was so nervous, Buck was still hugging him and Eddie felt like this was wrong and Bucks arms were so strong and Eddie was soooo nervous.

'Kay, too much feelings for a night...what you wanna do?  I have this new game I just bought... - was saying Eddie when Buck interrupted him - Game night, I'm gonna beat your ass Diaz - Told Buck while he made his way to the living room.

The night went by, the boys were playing the game Eddie has bought and dinner was chips and beer, so for both men, the night went well, two best friends living the life.

We sh'ld go sl-hiccup-eep - Said a way too drunk Eddie - It's almost me-night...

Buck started to laugh very loudly - MID-Night. Ed's no me-night -

Yeah yeah, dat - said Eddie while turning the console off - Grab ya stuff

What you meannnn? - Answered Buck - I'm gonna sleep in couch

No you are not - Said Eddie while pushing Buck out of the couch - You can use Chris bed today, just don't puke. Come my room, so you can borrow something to sleep.

As soon as Buck land a foot in Eddie's room he fall on his friend's bed, curling up in the corner of it.

Have I ever hiccup told you your bed is so comfy - Said a half asleep Buck.

No, but it's comfy indeed, actually Chris's bed is - Eddie was abruptly interrupted by a snorting Buck. - And of course you fall asleep in my bed - Said Eddie and with a laugh he took his phone out and took a pic of Buck asleep because we was drooling and in that moment, for Eddie, Buck looked so cute like that, maybe we can blackmail him later with that pic...

Eddie tried to awake Buck so he could go to Chris room but all his efforts were in vain, Buck was sleep as it can be so the only left option for Eddie (or so he told himself) was to put on his pj's and sleep beside Buck, after all this was his bed, right? And with that last thought Eddie fall asleep watching Buck.

It was a date - Said a concern Buck - When you and Marisol run onto me and Tommy...we were on a date...

Eddie couldn't believe what he was hearing, this couldn't be right, Buck must be trying to joke, isn't he? A weird feeling started to grow inside Eddie - Really? - Was all Eddie could said, he was still processing what Buck was telling him - Mhm - was the only sound Buck make - Wait Tommy is gay? - Eddie's world started to crumble he could help but think of all the moments when he and Buck had spent together...he felt sort of...guilt and hurt

Wait that never came out when you guys were hanging out? - Was saying Buck but Eddie couldn't focus on his words

Wh...what? No, no, I mean not that it would matter - Eddie's thoughts were filling him, Buck and Tommy, Tommy and Buck, He and Buck...He could see that Buck was still talking but he wasn't hearing anymore - So you two were on a... - Eddie couldn't believe it himself

We were on a date. Yes - Buck lucked so happy when he said that Eddie's heart hurt - Is that...weird?

No. Absolutely not - Said a hurt Eddie and he started to talk, but it was as if all what he was saying was an automatic response, he didn't even believe his words, he couldn't think clearly. He shouldn't feel this way, he should be happy for his friend, right? Then why he felt this way...

What's that smell - Mumble Eddie while the sweet scent of blueberries and maple syrup hit his nose. He notice that Buck wasn't beside him anymore, so he went straight to the kitchen

He sleepy one, morning - Said Buck while setting the last pancake on a plate - I made pancakes, bacon, scrambled eggs and coffee, so have a seat and take breakfast before heading to work.

Oh Evan, you are definitely a keeper - Eddies words went off without he even noticed, so he take a seat before Buck could say nothing.

As Eddie was taking seat Buck felt like a blush was growing on his face. He liked that, not the Evan part but the keeper, what was that feeling that he felt when Eddie said that? Keep to his inners while pouring a cup of coffee to Eddie and one for him.
