World/Series: Steve Lab
Timeline: N/A
Overall Feeling: Ambiguous Comfort and Angst
AU: It's Steve Lab, what else did you expected?
Characters: Sabre/Prof. Favre
Setting: Post Steve Legend
Word Count: 1896
Note: Despite this being mostly Steve Labs, the Setting and Timeline would have some sway in what goes on, considering, well, Steve Labs literally had one episode, of course I'll make whatever worldbuilding I could for it. It's a interesting concept that sadly didn't get explored.

The First time he woke up, he was laying on the grass, surrounded by what seems to be a forest of sorts. He wasn't sure why he knew what the forest was or why he knew he's lying on the ground, staring up at sight of the sunrising, if the colorful sky was anything to go off by-- admittedly, it's a beautiful sight to see really.
Although, he wasn't even sure why he was in the forest in the first place.
But he knows, he has the urge to do something, but what it was? He wasn't sure, it was almost instinctual really. For one thing, he needed to hurry before nightfall, he also needed to secure some supplies and even a temporary shelter. Getting up– he took note of his outfit, it was relatively normal, very plain to be honest, but something told him that he should be wearing something else, these clothes didn't feel right...
He shakes his head, he would have to wonder about it some other time, he needed to hurry and quickly.
Walking over to the trees he gathered as much as he could– he was a bit put off by the fact that he was able to collect it by punching it, but he shrugged it off. Then the next moment, it was all a blur, he wasn't sure how long it had been, but he was doing well. Too well, for some reason. Almost as if he had done all this before, but that can't be right, he had no idea what he was doing. He wasn't even sure why he was here in the first place.
He wasn't sure what to expect anymore, having woken up in the forest, gathering the bare necessity of what he needed. Now he wandered the land, wondering what to do and where he was, he couldn't find much of anything really. It was almost as if this world was empty save for the wildlife.
Was he the only one in this world? He wasn't sure, but he can't be too hopeful about finding anyone. He was never all that hopeful in the first place anyways. Why should he? He wasn't sure just how long he had been traveling for, perhaps a week or two? He didn't really think to count the days either. It wasn't that important anyways, but even if he wasn't...
He just knew how long it's been, what the time happens to be and how many days it's been since he woke up. He wasn't even lost either, oddly enough, it was like he just knew where to go and how to get back quickly. If he so wishes. It was so very strange, more than he could ever hope to understand really.
So he continues to travel and he does. He doesn't really stop, unless it was to rest for the night, oftentimes he couldn't find anywhere safe enough to rest at and continued his travel in the night. Dealing with monsters was unpleasant, that much was evident for him, but it wasn't anything he can't handle. Then again, something tells him that there shouldn't be any monsters around in the first place.
And yet, the more he travels, the more he feels...sad and out of place.
Like he was never meant to be here, no matter how much he tries to understand, he just doesn't feel as though he was real. Like he was here, but also not here.
He doesn't even remember his own name, oddly enough.
He knows it's important, but at the same time, he feels so very detached at the idea of remembering their own name.
