"I can't believe other worlds actually exist." Rainbow commented in utterly disbelief and a surprising amount of dread, Prof. Favre simply just snickers in response as they drink their cup of hot chocolate, same with Galaxy Assistant who was sitting next to them with a happy little smile. Rainbow just glared at the Professor. "You shouldn't have any rights to travel worlds for everything is a safety hazard against you, Professor."
Which is the honest truth.
Professor Favre should not have the power to traverse worlds as he pleases for someone who drinks poison and endangers themselves in a death courting manner.
"That may be true, but I do this world traversing in search of knowledge that I can use, whether it's to end a world or perhaps..." He trailed off as he stared into his cup of hot chocolate with a strange smile and a faraway gaze.
"I just wanted to find answers to my own existence."
Rainbow stares at them in a questioning manner, why would someone like the Professor seek out such difficult knowledge? Rainbow thought to themselves, for as long as he knew the Professor, he had always been elusive and knowledgeable at hiding everything and nothing effectively well that it was merely impossible to know what he was thinking.
None of them even know why he had been able to create them in such extreme conditions either. Nor do they understand why he uses the knowledge he collected to save others like themselves.
"You know Favre, if you keep drinking so much hot chocolate like this, I'll think you got some kind of addiction, this is literally your fifth cup today." Time Steve or as Rainbow had learned is often referred to Baker Time in this world they have come to visit. Rainbow wasn't sure why they had come here, but apparently, it was due to the unusual nature of the cafe they're in, acting as some sort of hub and neutral rest stop for world travelers like themselves.
Well, based on what the Professor had described it, it was mainly for the Steves Continuities and for those in the 'FMS Community' as he referred to it.
He had no idea what that even meant and Rainbow rather not know at all regardless. Just being here is already giving him a headache.
Prof. Favre on the other hand just blew a raspberry at Baker Time. "Oh hush, I can't say I care about my sugar level, but I can wholeheartedly admit that the Hot Chocolate you make is too good to pass up." Baker Time just stared at them dumbfounded. "You blind idiot, are you going to pay your tab?"
Prof. Favre just looks at them in confusion. "I already paid everything in full, what else do I need to pay?"
Rainbow and Galaxy both scoot away from the Professor when Baker Time suddenly smiles. A dark and probably evil smile that got all the customers in the cafe to snicker in the background.
"You haven't fulfilled your promise in getting me ice to make snow cones and ice shaving desserts." Prof. Favre flinched and started to metaphorically sweat bullets. "O-Oh! That– uh— woops?" Baker Time simply just smiled, until he suddenly dragged Prof. Favre away, much to his horror as he begged for him to let go.
Rainbow just stared at the scene, utterly dumbfounded.
"Is this seriously normal?" He questioned one of the customers– a nerdy version of himself stepped up. "Well, yes, but that's tame compared to the chaos he can actually cause." Rainbow Assistant just stares at them, then at the direction in which Baker Time had taken away the Professor...
"Give me a large cube of ice, I have an idea." Galaxy Assistant giggles as he gets off his seat to go help the others get that cube of ice, they may not know what it will be used for, but they can guess pretty well what will happen. For one thing, it's a miracle that Rainbow Assistant actually knows how to make ice related desserts and that includes ice shaving desserts and ice cones.
Of course, Professor Favre doesn't get any, much to his horror.
