Chapter 11: Amren

Amren had to tell her family. About the Summer Court, about Varian, about the baby, about everything. She didn't want to drop such a bomb on them just after Eris had awoken but everything seemed to be happening at the wrong time lately, but, perhaps this was one of those things where there just is no right time.

Amren stared at the mahogany doors to Rhysand and Feyre's room, where she hoped everyone would be. Mor and Emerie might still be over, that would be good. To tell everyone everything at the same time. Or it could be messy, disgusting, and nauseating. Nothing she needed at that moment.

Nervousness roiled in her stomach. Why? She didn't know. It wasn't her fault that Summer had been hit my a tsunami, and it certainly wasn't her fault that her mate was now High Lord, and it was only half her fault that she was now pregnant. Right?

Amren wasn't cursed. She wasn't still a bad omen, and she wasn't still a monster, and her child wouldn't be either. She was fae. The baby had been conceived after she had become fae. It would be a normal, average, everyday, blink-and-you-miss-it fae. Right?

Not the time to worry about that. She could go cry to Varian later. 

Varian. He hadn't been able to come to Dawn. It was a bit more complicated for him to go now that he was High Lord, he had explained, and anyway, he had to help start rebuilding. He had assured Amren, she could do this on her own.

And she could. She had spent the majority of her life on her own, so she could do this on her own, yes?

Yes.

She pushed open the door.

I know this is a short chapter, but im working on something new! Give me a minute to explain.
