21st July, 2027

Since he had given up on writing the night before, the morning after Chanyeol took the time between breakfast and work to look over his story and write a bit further.

"I only have 11 days left..."

Slightly hurried, he read his words.

"Wait a sec..."

After realising his mistake, he took his eraser and did his work.

April 2015 didn't cut it.

If he was going to do this correctly, it had to start earlier. To be exact, it started at the 24th March...

In my teenage years, I was a little tiny bit on my phone a lot. It's not like I was chatting with my friends the whole time, cause I didn't have a whole lot. It also wasn't YouTube.

I was reading.

More specifically, I was reading on Wattpad.

I mean, come on, it's stories that interest me. For free.

What's not to love?!

Of course, one can't escape the cruel, cruel idiots who find it's not important enough to finish a story, or check their spelling, or think more than once before writing a book with a plot so stupid it should be illegal.
Sometimes, but only sometimes, I felt like I should write a better version of a story, that I could do justice to its absolutely amazing characters, that the plot and writing hadn't. I never did, though.

It didn't really go further than reading. I didn't feel inclined to favourite chapters or follow people, I mean, I didn't do that with real books, why here?

But I always did read the comments of other readers, most emused me.
How some were just plain stupid (I mean, come on, did we really need to know that you "loled so hard that your parents are weirded out" at this paragraph? Did we?), some funny, and some just ten times more awesome than the book, it amazed me.

And, one day, that day this story starts to move along (finally, you may have noticed I forget what I'm trying to say hella fast), March 24th, 2015, I read a comment that moved me to do something new.

It was on a story about a boy in his early teens, and I didn't particularly like it. It seemed to be one of those "BoyXBoy" fanfics about a Kpop group I didn't even know properly.
I was about to stop reading, when a paragraph in the second chapter caught my eye.

"Not a lot of people know what it's like to never even know your father. Would he have been proud of you, would he have changed you, would you guys have played catch in the backyard?
You'll never know what it's like, this not knowing. And you should be happy for that. It's extremely painful and it never stops. How is it supposed to?"

If I had been a writer, I couldn't have put it better than that. It summed up the feelings botteled up in me since childhood perfectly. That, of course, didn't make it any less depressing, but still.

I kept on reading, slowly falling in love with the way of writing and the characters. The author didn't dwell any longer on the subject of the character's dad, and moved on to the love story, but I still enjoyed it.

I made it up to the chapter end, and started to look through the comments.

Here, I found something that, let's just say, royally pissed me off.

"Omg, I'm about to laugh so hard at how ridiculously your mind works. He's rich af! He has friends, a bf to die for (Taetae for life!) and he's still complaining about his dad's death?! Get over it~"
