Chanyeol was steadily getting more and more anxious. It wasn't long anymore until the story had to be finished, and he still had so much to write.
Thanks, procrastination.
Even though he tried to find some time everyday, he only could manage so much.
It probably would have been easier if he didn't have to keep his notes a secret, but Chanyeol wasn't about to ruin the surprise he had planned for so long.
It was just probably going to be more difficult than he would like.
Wednesday morning, my first alarm went off at 6 in the morning, as always. After shutting that one up and turning away, trying to find my comfortable position again, the next alarm rang three minutes later.
After five different wake up calls, and the last one being situated at the other end of the room, forcing me to actually leave my comfy bed to turn it off, I was finally ready to face the day ahead. You might find that a bit extreme, but it's normal for me, even necessary. I have trouble finding sleep, but leaving it is even more difficult.
At 6:30 am, I had taken a cold shower (I sweat like a pig in bed, ok. Don't judge me) and brushed my teeth. Now, what to were...
School uniform. Korea doesn't really leave you much choice in your clothing, and being rich doesn't really change that. Yes, I'm sorry to say that Gu Junpyo (aka Lee Minho, my ultimate tween crush) has lied to all of us. I tried going to school in a Boys Over Flowers outfit, and it didn't work out as planned.
Half an hour later, I was sitting at the dining room table, an assortment of fruits, bread, jams, cereals and juices spread before me, accompanied by the morning paper, eating away happily like a wolf who hadn't seen food in weeks.
"Good morning, Chanyeol"
I turned to the door to see my mom, small and thin as ever, still dressed in her cashmere pyjamas and her dark hair precariously tied into a messy bun, leaning against the door and looking at me.
"Good morning, Eomma"
I sat up from my place, bounded to her and enveloped her tiny body in a big hug.
To think I had been angry at my mother mearly two days ago...
I could never stay mad at her, especially for her protectiveness. I guess I just understood why she did it, and I probably would do it, too.
"Child, we have no time for that, you need to go in ten minutes if you want to catch your bus!"
As if to awnser her words, the doorbell rang, and the both of us looked confusedly at each other.
Who would come here at this hour?
I went to the front door, relishing in the fact that no servants were here right now and I could do things like open doors. It might seem ridiculous to you, but at some point it gets really frustrating. It's like people don't expect you to be able to do the simplest things ("No really, I AM capable of going to the washroom by myself"), and it gets annoying.
Oh yeah, to awnser your question, the humongous, delicious breakfast had been prepared by my mother. She gets up a little earlier than she would have to every morning, since "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, Chanyeol. So shut up and eat".
I was pretty surprised to see my best friend on my porch, hands in his pockets, whistling some tune I didn't recognise.
"Gooood morning, Yeollie! You took a long time, I thought you'd left without me!"
