The following morning was a nightmare, I swear in my entire life I had never experienced such a bulls**t morning before. To say I was bummed out would be an understatement. I had slept terribly, tossing amd turning until the early morning, yet somehow I had still managed to not get up on time (don't ask). I didn't even want to know how much I smellt that day, I hadn't hadbthe chance to shower. I honestly feel bad for my seat neighbors.

Yet somehow, I made it to school. Even a bit early. That might have had to do with the fact I couldn't stay in a house with a happy mom any longer. Tipp: if I'm not in a good mood, don't try to be all "Happy Virus" on me. Only I am allowed to do that, that's my job, and if I'm off duty you're not about to change that.
I had an idea why she was so happy, yet didn't really want to think too much about it. Watching your mother fall in love is probably one of the stranger things in life, but it get's really sucky if you can't stand the lucky guy.

Just at the thought, I groaned a bit, letting my head fall face first onto my desk, emitting giggles from my fellow class mates.

"Channie, whassup? Everything ok?"

Finally

I looked up to see my best friend making his way from the class room door towards his seat, which was quite conveniently located directly behind me. He still had his camouflage jacket on, mainly covering his school uniform, making it look a lot cooler than it actually was. After he sat down behind me, stowed his bag under the table and put his headphones away, he turned to me, raising his left eyebrow slightly.

"What you staring at?"

"You know you're gonna get into trouble if you don't take that thing off, right?"

I pointed towards his jacket. It was a fair warning, our school was kind of very strict when it came to clothing. One was not allowed to wear anything that could single you out from the crowd, one even had to ask the headmaster for permission to wear a frigging scarf, for crying out loud!
The dark tones of green and brown would stick out like a sore thumb in the sea of black clothing, and you can only imagine what I would have to deal with if if Baekhyun's jacket got confiscated.

He just sighed a bit, took off his jacket, whispering "Goodbye, my love", rolled it up with extreme care, kissed it tenderly and put it into a separate compartment of his bag.

"You don't think it'll get all crumpled, do you?"

I couldn't help but laugh, that was probably the funniest thing I had seen the entire day. Baekhyun glared at, making me shut up.

"What?! My clothes are my family."

A few stray chuckles escaped my mouth, and the first bell already sounded. We had another ten minutes until classes would start.

"Yah, Baek, can I..."

Ok, how to phrase this...

"...ask you something during lunch?"

He looked up from his bag, from which he was getting his books out.

"Sorry, Yeol, but I'm kinda already-"

"It's really important."

I was getting pretty desperate at this point. If I didn't get this off my chest soon I'd probably have a mental breakdown. Baekhyun sighed, looked down and started fiddling with his fingers. After contemplating for a bit, he turned towards me again, and asked in a hushed voice:

"Really, really, really important?"

I nodded, to which he nodded and smiled a bit. Though it seemed quite forced and, was that dissapointment?
