Chanyeol's POV:
"Bye, honey!"
I went to the door to see Chen putting on his shoes, already in his work uniform. I trotted towards him and welcomed the quick kiss he had to go on the tips of his toes to give me, but rather than letting him come down, I wrapped my arms around his waist, keeping his lips on mine just a little longer. The situation couldn't be called great, our extreme height difference accentuated by the fact that I was standing on a step slightly higher than his, I was still very much plagued by morning breath and I wasn't allowed to pull him closer cause I'd mess up his hairdo, but still somehow the moment managed to be pretty damn close to perfect. Chen started humming slightly, making vibrations tickle my lips.
"Channie, I need to go.", he mumbled into the kiss. It was sad, but true, and the moment ended. I let Chen down again, carefully so he wouldn't lose his balance, and we continued to look into each other's eyes.
"Has anyone ever told you you're fucking beautiful?"
Chen scoffed slightly, rolling his eyes playfully and sticking out his tongue.
"Has anyone ever told you you're way too tall? Seriously, how did I get stuck with such a giant of a boyfriend? I'll get neck pains if I need to look up at you for much longer.", Chen started ranting, tying up his laces and checking over his outfit in the mirror.
"How about for the rest of our lives?"
"Huh?"
He looked up from his shirt, expression confused. I shook my head, laughing at his adorableness.
"Nothing."
He shrugged slightly, now checking his messenger bag for keys, wallet and all his other necessities. I wasn't sure if I should be relieved or dissapointed he hadn't heard what I'd said just now...
"Bye bye, I love ya."
"You too. Drive safely."
"Always do."
We hugged goodbye, and Chen left, waving tiredly in my general direction. As soon as the door fell shut, I sprinted towards the couch, fishing out the notebook from between the cushions. This was going to be the last chance to finish that stupid thing, and the story wasn't even close to finished yet. I mentally slapped myself for deciding on such a stupid present, I should have known I'd procrastinate the living crap out of the idea. I had until 8pm, that's when Chen's shift ended, maybe even a bit less seeing as he sometimes got off a bit earlier. I was actually quite surprised I had managed to keep it a secret from him for so long, usually I-
"Hey, why were there groceries in the trunk?"
I jumped at the sudden voice coming from the door, and looked up to see my boyfriend carrying the brown paper bag I had left in the car the day before. He placed it on the dining room table, seemingly oblivious to the book I had quickly hidden behind my back. Seemingly, but not quite.
"What ya doing there?"
Dammit!
"Ehm, diary?"
The statement turned into more of a question than anything, but it seemed to satisfy Chen enough, who started laughing.
"Awww, is Chanyeol a little girl? Admit it, half of that book is filled with you trying out your name with Kim."
He let a couple more chuckles escape his lips, as I blushed. I was about to retort with "as if I'd be the one to change my last name" when Chen continued with a wink:
