As Alice reclaimed her grounds from this cushion like flooring she could see that it was upon further inspection a stomach of some kind. Alice began to walk around on this jelly like piece of skin but didn't want to jump off in case she fell down into the darkness again. "Hello is anybody there?.....Hatter?". There was no response but in the distance should could see a large well like contraption made from old pieces of table which had just been thrown together, and then she saw them a small group of what looked to be gnomes but they were missing body parts. These gnomes had half a face of which another gnome whom stodnext to him would have thus making one efficient gnome. This gnome had half an arm whilst his partner had a full arm, behind them was a gnome with no eyes and its partner had four eyes...this was messed up if Alice had even seen it. Alice never really did care for gnomes she found that they always were creepy but these gnomes were different for these ones were whistling away in their little pairs. "One...two...three...four...five...six...seven". Alice had counted the pairs of gnomes that there were to find this merry crew of seven all whistling and gay were of no threat to her upon this jelly cushion.
Alice sat down upon this jelly mound and began to ponder how she had managed to end up here in such a short space of time, earlier she recalled walking through the streets but after that not much else. The gnomes now began to join hands and hop around in a circle singing Ring a Ring o' Roses and as Alice watch content and happy that this piece of joy had entered this screwed up dreamland the gnomes began to shine and then....combust. The limbs of these once happy gnomes had no painted the white pathway she could see leading to the well a shade of dark reds and yellows. Alice gasped and tried to hide herself, tried telling herself that this was all a dream and she would be back to her ways of life soon enough...but it wasn't a dream, in fact nowhere near a dream for if this was a dream she would be a able to wake up and she knew she couldn't.
From the right of the well came what looked to be a clown but Alice couldn't be sure. The clown had a large yellow and blue spotted dress on with a hat which contained a propeller upon it. The clown took out a broom from underneath its its dress and began to sweep away at the combusted limbs of the gnomes. Alice took in a deep breath and began to bellow "excuse me Mr. Clown how do I get down from here?" The clown looked up and from a twisted smile it turned to a disheartened smirk "you can't get down pet unless you ask him". Alice was puzzled for this clown hadn't answered her question at all...at least it didn't feel like it. "and who do you think you are then just sitting upon my stomach?". Alice turned round in shock for she hadn't seen any sort of mouth and as she slowly turned an elderly mans head turned to greet her. The head was large but she couldn't quite make out who he reminded her off, he had thin glasses made up of pipes and one of his eyes were covered by an eyepatch which looked like an old ships sail.
"well excuse me sir bu-" "oh no don't worry my dear, my name is Arthur but some call me Matthew and others Richard but it doesn't matter because my name is Horrace". Alice was somewhat confused even more now that this man went by multiple names. "Okay Horrace what about those gnomes that exploded not too long ago?" Horrace laughed "oh those gnomes have been doing that for years, you see how Greggory is cleaning them up now, well he puts them back together again although he has two left eyes so the gnomes don't always turn out exactly perfect". Alice was creeped out that a clown would put gnomes back together and touch their limbs and handle them...it was creepy. "I don't think it's creepy!". Alice turned to her left and there he was Greggory had managed to cosy up onto the stomach and invade Alice's personal space with his creepy smile. "Alice you don't get it do you, people in Horrorland aren't always what they seem to be, you must look at things from the other persons point of view isn't that what your grandmother always told you?"...and it was.
Horrace sat and explained to Alice that the whole falling procedure that had happened about three days ago was somewhat of an initiation test to see if you have the string of problems that it takes to gain access into Horrorland. "The images that you saw of the butcher, baker and candlestick-maker were all the problems that you have thought about multiple times, and what it was trying to tell you was that you selling your body on the streets is wrong and you don't actually wish to do it". Alice now understood this and knew that she had been running from the truth for a long time because she thought it made her happy when in fact t didn't. "Horrace I don't know where to go from here and I am afraid I will be stuck down here forever!". Alice began to sob because she knew she didn't mean to take the cyanide but it was just one of those things. Greggory chimed in "well Alice it just so happens that Horrace is the way out of here, take a look behind his eyepatch if you dare?". Horrace laughed and watched as Alice got up and began to peel back the eyepatch to reveal a door well more of a hole just big enough for Alice to fit through. Horrace coughed "go on girl you are the one that wishes to find her way out of here". Alice smiled to the large old man and the nto Greggory the messed up clown "I will probably see you again soon Alice".
Alice clambered into the eye socket hole and tilted herself off from the edge and fell into a deep darkness which she was now familliar with so it was fine, she looked up to see the smiling grin of Greggory the clown and could hear Horrace's deep laughter ash she fell into the unknown. Where was she going now in this deep dark chasm that was an old man's eye socket....
