Alice was once again falling down into Horrace's eye socket and was enjoying this dark and twisted pathway, not knowng where she was going to end up when suddenly she was engulfed in what seemed to be a black water but a lot thicker. As Alice popped her head up to the surface she could feel herself slowing and suddenly felt full of fatigue as a large smoke cloud consumed her barely visible head amongst the black sea. With great effort she managed to get one hand above the murky mess below and fan away the smoke cloud to see that sat upon a ledge was her grandmother smoking a cigarette. "Nanna, please nanna you have to stop all of this you know you don't smoke anymore!". Alice's plea got her nowhere whilst her grandmother reflected upon life with this large cigarette and just added to the pool of tar of which Alice was slowly drowning in. Alice managed to swivel herself around in the murky tar pit to see that across the other side of the room upon another ledge sat a monster of some sort. It had large purple fangs and was covered in some sort of slime which seemed to add to the tar pit but it was more water based which helped Alice to move. The monster didn't seem to notice Alice and neither did her grandmother but this was a scary experience for Alice, she was going to die by drowning and she didn't know how to swim. "Hello there, can you hear me?" The monster just ignored her plea for help and continued to drip slime into the pool below but it took out what looked like half a beetle stuck into its neck and devoured it, some of it's insides began to rip from it's jaws. The monster itself had a balding head and wasted face, it was deep and hollow almost like it's life force had been sucked out of it. "I assume you want out of this sticky situation if you pardon the pun?". As Alice looked around she couldn't see anything "Where are you I don't see you?". A large stem emerged from the murky gloop and it formed an eyeball, then another stem a little way across from it with another eye and then one with a mouth. "Sorry I forgot that words don't float when they are said in water, here let me help you out". The tar began to drain and Alice could now feel the bottom of the room and it was only now she realised how much tar there actually was but it was only now that she could see her savior.
He was small and resembled a drain and had wheels but could only move along a track which only went around the outside of this square room. "I long to be elsewhere but I am somewhere which if you think about it is better than nowhere, but if you were nowhere and longed to be somewhere would you wish to be elsewhere?". Alice was confused at this little drain like man and she couldn't tell if he was attached to the mechanism which ran along the rail system. "I am afraid I don't even know where my elsewhere is let alone help somebody else". Alice felt awful that she couldn't help a drain that saved her life I mean she doesn't even know how to get out of this square room and on to somewhere else. "tell you what if you tell me how to get out of this room I will take you elsewhere which is better than somewhere!". The drain smiled with it's pursed lips and it moved it's stemmed eyed around in different directions, stabing the air to show that this made him happy. The drain began to shake with what seemed to Alice was rage but she had been corrected in this world before so it wouldn't have surprised her and the drain dissapeared in a puff of smoke and it it's place lie a small watch but it still had the eyes and mouth that the drain did. "Now you can carry me around with you Alice where you go I go right, you promised as long as I get you out of here?". Alice nodded her head and then out of nowhere the watch sprouted wings and large sem like legs which allowed Alice to climb up them and out of this room.
As Alice climbed up the legs of the watch, she noticed that she had never told the drain her name so how did it know it? Alice was now passing the large version of her granmother where she stopped to reflect upon what had happened and wondered if this was all her doing? The monster still sat dormant however and as Alice neared the newly made opening in the roof of the room by the watch, the monster suddenly sprung to life and saw the large stem like legs of the watch and exteneded its tongue much like a chameleon would to a hopper and it guzzled down the part of the leg which caused the wtahc to stumble slightly. Next it was her grandmother that extended her tongue and wolfed down the same area but on the other stem causing the watch to fall which left Alice hanging on the roof opening with all her might. "Help me Alice quickly before I am munched on, we had a deal Alice!" After much contemplation in a split second Alice hauled herself to safety and looked down into the room below to watch her new time telling companion become her grandmother's and a monster's feast. A cacophony of screams and cries filled the air and as the two beasts leapt back up onto their perch all that remained were some cogs and a few feathers of her time telling chum. But it turns out her grandmother was still hungry and without warning the large pink tongue extended and latched onto Alice's hair and began to pull upon it. Alice now stuck and being reeled back into the room she was once stuck in was now scarmbling to grib the tiled roof. A knife dropped down next to her and as she extended her arm to grab it she looked up to see the messed up smile that was Hatter's. Alice grabbed the knife and chopped at her tangld blonde locks and watched as her greedy gradmother fell down into the room only to be devoured by its mate...the monster. Alice quickly peered over as she watched the blood and entrails fly out like a frog in a blender which reminded Alice of something terrible she once did during a summer of her childhood but enough of this she had to get out of here.
Alice began to slide down the slated room, catching and cutting her arm as she fell and with a soft thud she hit a soft grassy floor, she looked back to see what the outside of the room looked like but all that there was of the room was the roof and slates which she fell down, other than that it was just an empty field full of strange mushrooms and flora...this day was turning out to be somewhat stranger but it was growing on her...
