The first round of this contest accepts unlimited participants, so tell your friends and followers to join in!
The contest consists of three rounds:
Round One - Longlist
Judges will read the blurb and first chapter (or prologue), and will score books according to hook and technical aspects. All entries reaching the minimum score will qualify for the longlist.
Round Two - Shortlist
Judges will read the first three chapters and will score books according to the rubric in the next chapter of this book. This round will determine the shortlist.
Round Three - Winners
All judges will read the first five chapters of all shortlisted entries from Round Two and score them. The shortlister with the highest mean score will be dubbed the Grand Winner of the 2024 Aro Ace Awards, and we will also determine the Second Place and Third Place winners.
Timeline
September 9th - Form opens.
October 11th - Form closes and judging begins.
November 1st - Longlist is announced.
November 22nd - Shortlist is announced.
December 13th - Winners are announced.
