Pin's finger tapped on the counter, she had been doing it for long she might be making a dent.
'is she pretty?'
what was that about? She doesn't like leafy, she knows that.
The door rang and she looked up. Flower was scanning the items in the counter. "I figured I'd come earlier today." She said. "That would be less of a hassle than to make you grab stuff right before closing." The thumbtack just quickly nodded, not really acknowledging what she was saying.
Nobody really liked flower. Both because she was rude, and, well..
Four arms would freak anyone out.
"A slice of peach pie?" flower looked down at pin. The fact she was so tall was rather intimidating. "Alright!" Pin's voice cracked. The flower put ten dollars on the counter without checking what the price was and pin took it. The baker handed her the pie, shrinking back.
Flower walked out of the bakery, sighing. Why was everyone so afraid of her.
Ruby wasn't.
She glanced over at the park, the gem was running in circles in it.
"Ruby!" Flower sat at a picnic bench and the crystal scurried over to her. "Hello!" The shorter girl greeted. "What did you get at the bakery?" She asked, not a hint of hesitation in her voice. "Pie." She responded, trying not to seem snappy.
The way ruby just was always smiling. It was kind of endearing.
"How come you get extra arms?" She pouted. "That must be so cool.." She practically had stars in her eyes as she looked up at flower. "I guess it is useful.. I don't think people like them much.." She mumbled. The gem tilted her head. "Just because it's different." Flower added. She looked out at the distance.
"My alliance is waiting for me!" Ruby chirped. "I have to go!" Flower stopped her, holding up her phone. "What's your number?" She asked. Ruby listed off her number before she hurried off towards the yoyle needy. The taller girl frowned.
The one person who didn't hate her had to be part of freesmart. The worst alliance. Flower turned and opened the box in front of her.
Alone again.
---
She floated out in the open water. Alone for once.
A handful of sand nearly hit her as it was tossed into the water. She hadn't realized how shallowed of water she was in, but she could probably stand in it. too shallow. She flipped herself over. They were constantly being reminded about how dangerous it would be to be seen, the people on the land saw them as monsters.
She was going to back away before she saw light flash into the water. She paused. The people up there weren't supposed to glow like them. She inched towards the shore before letting her antenna bob above it.
Leafy froze. Could she not go two days without being bothered? "Go away." She snapped at whoever was there. The girl underwater frowned. The water rippled as if she had left.
"Do you have to shoe people off?" Coiny asked. The leaf shrugged.
-
"There are people above the surface from here!" She hummed to her friend. They're gaze flickered around for a moment. "I think i recognized one of their voices.." She thought. "Yeah, you know that one girl who was always causing trouble?" She tried to remember her name. They nodded, "Leafy?" The squid responded. "I think so, i thought she was dead." She muttered, who wouldn't assume she was dead if she ran away and didn't come back. They looked away for a moment. "..Maybe that's where your friend went?" They hesitantly suggested.
