POV: Milk

"I am happy to announce to my beloved MC town people that we have finally brought the innovation everyone has been wishing for. With my tireless hard work and dedication as your brilliant mayor—" Namtan's speech was interrupted by a slight cough, a result of her overinflated bragging.

She cleared her throat and continued with renewed enthusiasm.

"And with the generous donations we've received, I'm pleased to inform you that, starting today, every household will have electricity, supplemented by additional solar panels!"

"But that's not all—the most exciting part is that each and every home will now have a direct water supply."

The crowd erupted into applause, cheering for what they believed to be a major victory for the town.

Namtan, the newly appointed (and disguised) mayor, basked in the moment, even though everyone knew her grand achievement was thanks to my strict orders, not her so-called "dedication."

"There's more!" she exclaimed, holding up her hand dramatically to quiet the crowd. "We will soon embark on a massive construction project to upgrade each and every home, expanding them into larger, more modern houses.

And here's the best part—brand-new appliances for all!

That's right, we're giving away everything you'll need to grow into a fully developed, civilized town. And it's all free! All for the people of MC town, whom I truly love." She grinned broadly, soaking up the admiration, her eyes gleaming with self-satisfaction.

"Isn't your new mayor amazing?" she added, extending her arms in a theatrical gesture. "Come on now, give me a round of applause!"

The townspeople clapped again, though I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her antics. Namtan had always been a bit too dramatic, and now she was in full-blown performance mode.

She acted more like a pop star at a concert than a politician addressing her constituents. I watched her, trying not to laugh out loud as she strutted across the stage.

"So, clap your hands everybody, everybody just clap your hands! Mic drop, y'all!" she shouted, now mimicking a rapper, even going so far as to pretend to drop a microphone. Her confidence bordered on delusion, and I could barely keep my composure.
