It's been a long walk, but we managed to reach the objective area. There's no sight of neither Counters nor Absolute. That is not what concerns me, tho. Shifty said there should be a crater here. The ground is... flat. Remembering the tactics used previously by the Raptures, Y/N immediately knew something was wrong. Rapi read his mind like an open book, catching up with his line of thinking.
Rapi:"An ambush."
Y/N:"Indeed."
Maxwell:"Huh? What are you guys talking about?"
Y/N:"The enemy wants to ambush us here. Shifty said there should be a crater here. Matis squad participated in the battle with Absolute against the heretics. There's no way that battle happened so long ago the crater filled up with sand on it's own. Something filled it up."
Drake:"Why would you do such a thing? What a waste of time."
Laplace:"To bury yourself... to lure your food!"
Just as everyone realised what Laplace meant, tentacles appeared from the ground and attacked us. However we were ready. All my Nikkes, including me, jumped out of the way. The tentacles didn't get us. Drake stood up and fired at them, breaking some of them. Whatever was underneath didn't like it one bit and decided to show itself. Yet another big rapture to kill.

The creature's tentacles come from the sack. It's trying to capture my Nikkes, not kill them. As it rushes us, the tentacles keep trying to pierce them.
Y/N:"Okay Matis, show me why you're the strongest! Laplace, stop that thing from coming to us! Rapi, fire at the tentacles! Maxwell, fire at the visor! We need some damage! Drake, with me! Wait for my signal!"
Everyone nodded, Laplace getting her cannon. A mask appeared on her face to let her lock on targets easily. She fired her laser at the sack, the rapture screeching in return. It's doing lots of damage. Rapi took cover near her and protected her from the incoming tentacles. Maxwell fired at the visor to annoy it as much as possible. Meanwhile, me and Drake run around the creature. Thanks to Laplace's laser and Maxwell firing at the visor we go unnoticed.
The creature uses some black smoke to hide itself. The legs are still on view, so we know where it is, but it's harder for my Nikkes to hit the targets I mentioned. Drake looks at me, impatient. We are near one of it's legs. She wants to get the show on the road.
Y/N:"Drake, climb this thing! Go to it's head and blow it off. Go crazy!"
Drake widened her eyes and smirked, having permission to do as she wishes. A mask appeares on her head covering her face. Red lightning comes from her body and Drake starts running like an animal, using her hands to climb up the leg as fast as she can. She's piercing the armor of the rapture with ease.
